Hi James! Yes, and it didn't take much of a shim so thank you for that information. It has a very nice glide so when I can get to the conversion it's ready ;-)
It really is ;-) After flying a 1.5m sport glider and a 2m sport glider I wondered how fast and aerobatic a sport glider of approx. 1m would be with twin motors. I look forward to when I have time to start the conversion.
Great 'alignment & rigging' explanation! I'm faced with the same issues on another foam plane I have(..uneven wing incidence..) and I've been holding off doing it for the same reasons you mentioned: worried about bubbling or distorting the foam & whether to use directed air heat or warm water method. My greatest gripe about foam planes is removing warps being a PITA procedure that risks spoiling the whole plane!
Thank you Anton! Like you I've been searching for a method that doesn't damage the foam and this method worked very well for me. I'm very happy with the results and when my 2nd one arrives I'll be using the same method. Good luck on getting your straightened out. I have a Family members crashed X1 Wing I need to repair so I'll see how well this works on very damaged foam ;-) See you in the Air!
Exactly right: can't complain about a few needed adjustments and mods when you only spend 12 bucks for the air frame! Thanks for providing the estimated CG. That will help a lot of people. You got me back working on a screaming eagle after 2 years of "almost done." It's ugly but was only $7. 48" wingspan, looks like an airliner. Using two br1806 motors on 3s. It's not going to be acrobatic, but still fun!🤞
Hi Mike! I haven't had a chance to start on the conversion yet. I have some Family Projects I've got to complete before I can dedicate time to it. It's going to be fun ;-) See you in the Air!

Good luck with this bold experiment 👍
Thank you John!
It's going to be fun ;-)
Glad the shims worked out. We’re fortunate to have the amazing foam material to work with now
Hi James!

This is gonna be a fun project.

That Screaming Eagle does sound fun and a 48" wingspan is a nice size wingspan.
See you in the Air!
How's the conversion coming along?
Hi Mike!
I haven't had a chance to start on the conversion yet.
I have some Family Projects I've got to complete before I can dedicate time to it.
It's going to be fun ;-)
See you in the Air!
Just ordered two of those gliders... I've asked the Seller to package them well so that the parts don't warp and twist. Well see if that happens.
Hi Lasersbee!
Awesome Glider for the price ;-)
I'm glad you ordered two of them.
I ordered my 2nd 3-4 days ago and it's already shipped.
Try slope soaring. 😉👍
Hi Doc!
I will certainly try my hand at sloping ;-)
@@GroundControlRC
Sorry.was only a joke. You are not happy without a motor. 👍
@@docwunder1628 No worries ;-)
I think you might be able to slope with throttle off in enough wind.
