    These are good but employers really need to be up front and open about the salary and not take a huff if we want to know. If we have more than one opportunity then we have to have that information. If the job description lets us know that this is a high demand/expectation job then why would we accept it if the salary was low? Employers ask you everything they want, but let's be real, we go to work primarily for money. We should be able to ask it. If I was hiring I would not be put off by that question. It shows that the interviewee is logical, makes sure they are aware of their financial situation and confident enough to ask.

      Thank you for sharing your perspective. I completely understand where you're coming from, and I agree that it's important for job seekers to have clarity on salary expectations. I would, however, stress caution asking about salary before the interviewer brings it up, and they often will during the first interview..."what are your salary expectations?"
