This was a very scary cartoon. It gave me nightmares. Goto 14:40 to see what I mean. If I saw this in 1986 - I'd be under 5 years old. I look back at this episode. You had this massive menacing machine that lures R2 units and then it uses them as food. It sucks the life out of R2 units, and our heroes were pretty much stuck there and they were pretty weak. You had no "He-Man" or Luke Skywalker to come in a kick the hell out of this Great Heap. The other thing, is that this is a double episode - you have nearly an hour of this menacing beast! This was rated "U" for audiences above 4 years - the ratings guidance suggest that "threats" are resolved quickly - erm this took nearly an hour! Ha! Character building Episode.

The Silentium still exist (I believe mostly in the Unknown Regions, I know Lando travelled with one for a while), but I’m unsure of the fate of the Abominor. Perhaps they also reside in the Unknown Regions?
