It’s the frequency of the material! Both are very healing on their own but once woven the frequency is neutralized. The Bible is a science textbook in so many ways.

There are also sensible/practical/non-allegorical reasons for all of these recommendations. Mixing wool and linen causes rapid overheating when worn on the body! It is an excellent conductor of the body's natural electrical impulses. Mixing seeds and inter-breeding animals across species is a distortion of God's purpose for His Creation (e.g. not cooking a kid goat in it's mother's milk) and can also bring on diseases/failures. I would say that these recommendations go alongside the facts that the people of God MUST know that we are set apart from the cultures of this world and we (laymen) are not to imitate the High Priest of God (at that particular time, desert dwelling and then a warring/settling existence). Now, we actively MUST imitate our High Priest - The LORD Jesus Christ xx

The study suggests a relationship between fabric frequencies and human health. High-frequency fabrics like linen, hemp, organic cotton and wool impart energy, while low-frequency synthetics might drain it. This interplay invites us to consider the materials we wear and their impact on our energy and wellbeing.

no, it should not be followed. This is Torah and a ceremonial law within the Torah at that and we are not bound to it. There are too many Bible verses that PROVE WITHOUT A DOUBT, we are no longer under the law.
      Romans 7:6 says.....
But now we are released from the law, having died to that which held us captive, so that we serve in the new way of the Spirit and not in the old way of the written code.
      Galatians 3:10-13 says....
For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Clearly no one who relies on the law is justified before God, because “the righteous will live by faith.” The law is not based on faith; on the contrary, it says, “The person who does these things will live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a pole.”
      Galatians 3:24-25 says......
So then, the law was our guardian until Christ came, in order that we might be justified by faith. But now that faith has come, we are no longer under a guardian,
      Galatians 2:16 says....
Yet we know that a person is not justified by works of the law but through faith in Jesus Christ, so we also have believed in Christ Jesus, in order to be justified by faith in Christ and not by works of the law, because by works of the law no one will be justified.

    • @desertshadow72

@@dfacedagame That doesn't say that we shouldn't follow the law, it just says that it will never be enough to justify us before a holy God because will fall short, and thus we live by the spirit, which is also in accordance to the law. Timothy teaches the law is good the spirit of the law
      Jesus said:
For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished.
      and:
For I tell you, unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.

I think that there is more to it than just the wearing of clothes made of different materials since that decree is tied to other, similar decrees within the same passage. It is to keep that which is holy from that which is not. Reading these passages reminds me of 2 Corinthians 6:14 which states that believers should not be yoked with unbelievers. In other words, do not marry an unbeliever as it will only bring heartache and chaos because they do not share the same spiritual nature that has been given to us.

As a spinner and weaver myself, one practical reason to not weave animal fibers and plant fibers together is the different rates of shrinkage when you wash the fabric. Animal fibers shrink and stretch more than plant fibers. This is how you can create puckered fabrics if that's what you desire. Animal fibers and plant fibers also absorb dyes differently. Animal fibers take up dyes more readily than plant fibers. Until the mid-1800s, dyes were obtained from plants and other natural sources, and linen was likely difficult to dye. Nowadays, most dyes and many fibers are synthetic. And mixing fibers is common, even in the yarn itself. 🙂

Wool and linen were mixed frequently in the past (e.g. 18th & 19th centuries) in the form of "linsey-woolsey". This was a fabric made with a linen warp and a wool weft. The strength of the warp allowed scrappier bits of wool to be used up, so that the basic linsey-woolsey fabrics were cheap stuffs with similar insulating properties to wool. As is usually the case, people then developed the fabrics further and there are examples of linsey-woolsey that are a long way away from being basic, cheap fabrics.
Another option would be to spin a linen single and a wool single and ply them together. Again, the long bast fibres of the linen can give the end result additional strength.

In fact all who are not in Christ are still subject to the law.
But all who have truly repented of their sin and trusted Christ for salvation are now free of the law's penalty.
Remember that Jesus made it clear (Matthew 7) that few are on the narrow road to life, but many are on the broad road to destruction.
The New Testament contains many warnings of judgement on those who persist in their sinful ways.
We must take God at His word, and read it carefully to understand what it does say, and not make mistaken assumptions.
May God enable us to do so in faithfulness, humility, discretion and wisdom.

They shall not be put to death, because she was not free; 21 but he shall bring his compensation to the Lord, to the entrance of the tent of meeting, a ram for a guilt offering. 22 And the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the guilt offering before the Lord for his sin that he has committed, and he shall be forgiven for the sin that he has committed
