I haven’t perfected walking in the spirit as I still have times where I yield to my fleshy desires, but they do cause me to be less joyful about them, and I have been reading scripture more. I guess I’m still a work in progress. I trust Jesus will see me through.

If you are a faithful servant of Christ then these Holy Spirit inspired verses will lead you to obedience regarding modest proper dress including head coverings: Genesis 3.21, Deuteronomy 22.5, 1st Corinthians 11.2-16.
As I understand this, does this mean that before we did what the law said because it was the law, but now that we have the Holy Spirit in us, He, the Holy Spirit has put in us the DESIRE to do what the law says to do. Before we had to do it, now we want to do it?

Importantly, we (believers) can grieve the Spirit through sin our lives. THe remedy for sin: confess as we see in 1 John 1:9. Seems important as the fruit of the Spirit will come thru God’s power, not self. For unbelievers, enemies of GOD The issue is faith. John 3:36

Sounds to me like it’s automatic then and sounds to me that I’m hopeless bc I’m not doing any of that or showing any fruit of the spirit. So what do I do? Since I’ve already confessed Jesus is Lord, believed in my heart God raised him from the dead rom 10:9 and I’ve already believed in Jesus acts 16:30-31. Why is NOTHING changing? Why don’t I feel any different or act different? Why don’t I pursue Christ like some of these other zealous Christians I’m around? Why does it seems Christ is casting me out and ignoring me even tho he promised not to? John 6:37. What do I do? What step am I missing?
I understand how you feel. but first,you need to believe that the Holy spirit is in you as long as you have accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and savior. you won't always feel it. infact,it might look like he is not there. but have I want you to know that he is there. I myself still struggles with doubts atimes based on my emotions and feelings during some periods. but know that the way of the Lord is not of man. so trust that he is with you even though you don't "feel" it. shalom

This whole video makes it seem as if walking in the spirit is produced by us. Walking in the spirit and the fruits that are produced thereafter are all done by the Holy Spirit/ Jesus/ God. The only thing we produce is sin. God's covenant is with himself. Repent, Surrender to the Lord and put your faith in him only. Jesus does not share his Glory with another and the spirit predetermined does what it always was going to do.
I would agree these people can act in a kind and gentle way. Is that from the inside, or is there an outside pressure on them? And this goes for the Christians as well. For those who pass that test, are they willing to accept Jesus as Lord? If not, there is more of a limit to their kindness than there is for those who do accept Jesus as Lord, and it may take a long time to bring it out.

One of around hundred places in the Bible tell us that we are spirit in our own right. “For who among men knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of the man, which is in him? even so the things of God none knoweth, save the Spirit of God.” 2 Corinthians 2:11 Nearly all references in Galatians chapter five is to this “spirit of the man”. How can it be so difficult to say that we have or are spirits?
