You'll likely notice some changes in the shop, and well the video/editing quality... I held off on uploading them as I had to put this project on the back burner for another project. I worked for BMW in the 80's when this car was released. it was mis-understood on what is was and was closely priced to the 535is. Many bought the 535. BMW actually assigned the cars to the employees to drive. I remember seeing about 35 in a row at the old Sterling, VA HQ- BMWNA. There were many with black interiors. the Canadian cars will not selling either. Was an interesting time for BMW M. Very early for M. in the USA.
Very intersting details there! That's not the first time I have heard stories of the sales issues BMW had with these cars. Easy to understand though, this was the first of its kind, there was no market built for the performance sports sedan. The M5 built that market. It is surpriseing just how under appreciated and valued these cars are. Especially when comparing them to the E30 M3. ~ Nick
