Solo Wild Camp, Geldie Lodge, Hilleberg Niak

“Scots Nomad” ventures out from Linn of Dee finding his way to the ruins of Geldie Lodge, to spend a peaceful night of solitude surrounded by stunning mountains.
I broke camp early to make my way back to the bothy for breakfast 👍

As u say, a beautiful quiet place, also Bynack Lodge a few miles further down the Geldie Burn, fantastic spot to camp 👍👍

was just up there about 4 weeks ago with a friend to do a camp then in the morning tackle the munros over the back, lovely area, we definately got better weather than you did, still its the cairngorms. got a video up about the trip, we cycled up there, but my friend had to cycle back to linn of dee because he forgot his phone so an extra 16 miles, mad 🤣

Hey Alex, brilliant news mate, hope it all arrives safe, you won’t be disappointed. Yeah it was a very remote camp that one, weather was crazy but the Niak held strong 💪
Hope to get back to the Cairngorms soon with the Niak…
