    Thanks for this. Tolmount was my 50th Munnie, but from the Glenshee side, now up to 60.Cheers

      Thanks mate! I also thought about including the two T's when i walked the Glas Maol Munros from the Glenshee side but it would have killed me to walk down from Cairn of Claise then back up again i met four guys up from England and they were doing just that and regretting it lol. Thanks for the nice comment ma man and take care, peter :))))

    Just wanted to echo the previous comments and say the orange Sainsbury bag is a really nice tribute to Andrew (AKA 'Head For The Hills'). I only discovered his videos 3 days ago and I've been deeply saddened since I read he past away. He came across as such a lovely guy with a unique sense of humour, and to depart at such a young age is just heartbreaking. I guess it means watching the rest of his content is always going to be a bittersweet experience, but I'm certain he'd want us all to continue watching and enjoy his adventures in his absence. Kudos to you, Peter along with everyone else who has paid a wee tribute to Andrew.
    RIP Hermit Hill.

    I did this walk with a friend 2 years ago in the summer. But we walked down past the loch on our way back. We started walking before 12pm & got back to the car park at 8pm completing a circuit. Legs were so sore the next day but it was worth it

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I did consider that very route via Glen/Loch Callater but i fancied one last look at the Glen Doll area as i am finished Munro wise up there. Went for a walk down Glen Callater once a few years ago an i got the worst ever midge attack ever had to jog back to the car it was that bad. But either route as you say is a long slog and i felt it in my legs the next day too plus a long drive back to Glasgow down a dark A-9 dosent help either lol! Thanks for watching Paul and take care mate, peter :)

    I did Mayar and Dreish last year in deep snow, a beautiful walk. The path looks so different without the snow! I think these two would be lovely to do in snow too, though the long walk in would make that difficult. What a beautiful area it is.

      Showing yer age a wee bit eh Magnus? Only kidding mate LOL! You know? I once met a man from New Zealand who climbed Cairn Gorm before all the ski stuff was built and he was shocked at how it looked now. He didnt understand why these places cant be left alone. Even though i agree some care and management is needed, He is correct. I would have loved to be doing this in the 50's and 60's.

    Imagine getting caught out in the mist and clag up there with no paths at all! you really open up the high places of Scotland Peter, this channel has to be one of a few that really probe into the unwelcome/pathless and even at times featureless landscapes that very few tread upon. Credit to you mate, would love to see a map with flags on of all your progress so far Tim/Mandy

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Glenn no matter what i do i cant seem to get a decent kip in a tent. I have camped out twice(Ben Lawers and in the Lairigh Ghru) And there has been a few times when i should have summit camped but i keep on putting it off. Obviously in the future i will have not much of a choice, Or get a wee van and convert it. Im not the best of sleepers at the best of times, But in a tent its worse. But i will see how it pans out in the next few months or so. Thanks for watching mate, peter.

    Magic Peter. The distances up there are deceiving. Did Tolmount from Glen Callatur with the camping gear. Got to the summit and looked over to Buidhe and gave up. Was shattered. Can you leave your car overnight in the carpark? Was thinking of doing Mayer and Driesh with Tom Buidhe with the camping gear later in the year. Great watch as usual pal. Cheers

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Scot. Yes you can park overnight, But i would also try and let the warden know as well just to be on the safe side. Very deceiving up there! I was looking up at Cairn of Claise from Tom Buidhe and it looked miles away, It also caught out some English lads i met and they couldnt believe how far it was to walk down from it. They had to leave Glas Maol and Creag Leacach for another day. Good luck with the plan, Hell of a distance that one :) Cheers Scot, peter.

    You don`t half push yourself Peter bloody hell I was heavy breathing with you there mate, desolate it was and not a sole in sight for miles which is appealing I know, no where to hide in a tent in fierce wind up there though, how many miles in total do you reckon Peter just out of curiosity and most of it uphill aswell, well done mate, always a good watch, TFS, ATB George.

    • @MUNROSnCORBETTS
      @MUNROSnCORBETTS  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi George hows things? I would say it was about 14-15 miles in total and i sure felt it the next day in work!! The first Munros of the year are always painful. These two Munros are off the beaten track a wee bit, No easy or quick route to get at them. And i sure would not go near them in dodgy conditions, Although Eddie and Sinclair camped very close to them a few years ago. Glad i got them bagged so early in the year, It was a beautiful day from start to finish. Well worth the long drive up from Glasgow, 4-30am back at 8pm LOL!
