Prologue is hands down better looking than the Blazer EV. I also have the Emporia charger and it’s a great product. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a home wall charger.
@@acefstripedo it! I did a couple of weeks ago with the Prologue and Love it! It does drive like an escalade though. Feels a lot heavier and wider than it is
What you get with this is practical and normal in an EV. Normal styling outside, normal door handles, buttons and switches inside with a sunroof that is large and opens. You can get it with all the bells and whistles and carplay. The infotainment system looks nicer and more integrated in the Blazer. My guess is the next iteration of the Blazer will have a little more horsepower. One problem with the Prologue is I’m not convinced Honda will continue to make them. It could be a one off so I’m not sure about long term support. It’s got a GM drivetrain so I’d wonder how well your Honda dealership would do with maintaining the car. Should you take it to a Chevy dealership?
The only way to get into an EV today is to lease it for 3 years. Even in those 3 years, all EVs in existence today will be modified as the technology is still being constantly revamped. Right now China is way ahead of us in the EV tech game. We are over there trying to learn from them.
I’ve seen a bunch of Blazers lately and my first Prologue today. The Prologue looks amazing. I’m sure I’ll be seeing a bunch of them in the near future.
Have you considered a Mustang Mach-E? I highly suggest you test drive one...I drove one almost back to back with the new Model 3 and the interior noise was like night and day on the highway. The cabin is so quiet in the Mach-E...I went to this from a Highlander Hybrid and have absolutely no complaints. Ford has really stepped up their game in the last few decades. The developers they hired couldn't have hurt either...
I've had my "Hondolet" Honda+Chevrolet for 3 weeks now and love it so far. Was a litttle bothered by the GM thing but feels very solid and great range. Also very spacious. I also have the rattling noise. Haven't figured out where its coming from. Biggest dislike so far is the organ music it makes up to 23 mph. If anyone knows how to disable or change it please let me know...
Read a couple comments about GM and them not leading the way on EV tech. That’s where you’re wrong. They’re miles ahead and they’re the only company to bring a modern normal feeling vehicle and layout to the EV world. Which is actually difficult when you consider most EVs are trying to literally reinvent the wheel and it becomes less function and more.. gimmick. However, on the end of reliability.. that’s where we have a huge problem. I very recently just left the automotive business after 15 years, most of GMs “ultimum” platform have been literally DOA with zero and I mean zero work arounds or fixes. We basically had extremely heavy bricks that were unmovable and certainly unsellable. Park that with Hondas tendency to cut corners these last few years, what I was otherwise initially excited about is now, sadly, a no-go. Don’t stop at go, go directly to jail. Yikers
No wonder the interior felt sub par! As soon as you said its a GM it all made sense. Americans SUCK at making interiors. So bland and tacky unlike their Euro/Japan counterparts. GM isnt known for their reliability either so a Honda Skinned GM is a hard pass!
Everything the UAW touches, they destroy(Ford, Chevrolet, Dodge) and now thanks to the Democrats they are working on Honda next. Looks like I am switching to Toyota.
It probably needs to be made by GM for several reasons: 1) made in the US = $7.5K federal tax rebate 2) avoid hefty tariffs and be priced more competitively 3) sooner to market (they are behind the curve on EVs vs most other companies).
Honda is so far behind the Tesla standard technology on all fronts, it's not even funny. It seems Honda just replaced the gas engine with an electric motor and called it a new name 😂. Cheap plastic everywhere, even in the premium model. Sooooooo many buttons and dials... we are living in the age of touch screen , so 2010..... Whatever happened to getting a FRUNK, it's standard in all EVs these days... I was expecting so much more from Honda.
Special thanks to our Patreons for their support of the channel! Honda Prologue or Hyundai Ioniq 5?
Hyundai IONIQ 5
Honda

Thanks for recommending that. I am seriously looking at the Prologue. Really I just need to make the jump to EV and I doubt I will look back.

You said GM and Im out
Yeah I thought the same thing...they aren't exactly leading in EV tech right now
Haha I literally said “EWWWWW” and backed the f out when I heard that.
Just as I thought! Lol!!
@@josiahr1375 Yeah but Honda decided where to put the GM switches and knobs!
Literally! I’m glad he said it at the very beginning.
What were the 3 worst things? And what were the 7 best things?
Definitely the Blazer EV looks better, but I seen this car in real life it looks pretty good.
Why are all EV's priced at $50k? too much for a Honda
lease is 119 a month
I agree ☝️
Too much for a Honda? They're one of the most reliable and dependable cars you can buy
And have high resale value!
@@jeriqosantos Nah
I wish it has a 3rd row, even if it's just a small one.
I love the design
A Honda using gm parts oh lord 😂
So what did Honda do? Uh they decided where the steering wheel would go lol
lol kinda yeah
Not a Honda? I’m out.
What was the rattle?
How do you open the trunk from the inside? how much will the energy bill raise in your house?
Thanks for posting. Was looking at the CRV Hybrid, but now...
Go with a CR-V hybrid...

No NACS, no e-pedal/single pedal driving. No buy
The elite model is definitely sporty!
The left side defrost vent is standing proud and looks improperly installed! cheap.
Mine was exactly the same. I had to push it in fml

The rattling noise? That's the GM part lol
Wait a year 😂
Look at the manual, pull the fuse, turn off the organ music.
The rattle has a chevy service bulletin, so is a known repairable item. Happens on every new car, just wish they would fix that at the factory level.
For me the design of the Prologue is way too conservative and a bit dated. I love the design of the Blazer!
It’s not a rival to the Blazer. Both the Blazer and The prologue is the Lyriq

No spare tire, not even a doughnut?
$50k thanks but no thanks
Seen one in person Jesus pics don’t do justice
Apparently Honda failed to learn from GM’s failure.
I would never spend a penny of my hard earned money on any vehicle associated with GM or the UAW.
12:13 yeah I think the speakers do rattle when it’s brand new ,but I guess you have to blast your music a few days to break it in lol
lcd very bad

The cup holders are awful!
I dislike when they tack screens on top of the dash
instead of integrating it into the design.
I think the Passport is a better design.
Not to worry, Super Cruise is on the Acura ZDX variant…. If you really what to blow some extra money in this market.
