    A lot of people told me about the benefits of working as an auditor, But only a few told me about how stressful it is in the busy season ، anxiety every day for 4 months...
    Just want to let the people know about the price 💀.

    I want to travel again to different States and countries with my next career! I am committed to building my next career as a Forensic Accountant. And I really liked what I had learned in my Audit class/module in my BSc Accounting and Finance degree. And now in my MSc in Forensic Accounting degree programme it discusses sometimes about Auditing but more from the investigating side. Thank you for sharing, The Financial Controller. I am about to enter my senior year in college as an Accounting major. I had a Tax internship this past tax season and will be starting my audit internship tomorrow! Could you make a video about a breakdown of accounting career planning (Internships, CPA timeline, Master's Degree Overview, post-graduation plans)? I have found your videos to be very helpful so thank you!

    Hi! I appreciate your content a lot, I've seen several videos about public accounting and it's given me a lot of insight. Question: could I go into auditing without getting the CPA and still be able to make a 6 figure (or close to) salary before leaving PA, or with an exit op? I want to get the experience first to see if a CPA fits my goals, but I also want to be on track to making a livable salary here in CA. Thank you so much!

    Great video. I know that this is a bit off topic but what do you think of accountants learning business analytics? I am graduating with my Bachelors in accounting and I am thinking of getting a Masters in Business Analytics. Do you think it’s important for accountants to understand SQL, Python, coding.. etc? Typically, business analysts are known for bridging the gap between IT and the business using data analytics to assess processes, determine requirements and deliver data-driven recommendations and reports to executives and stakeholders. Do you think this can somehow be intertwined and applicable with accounting? Will this “future-proof” my career in accounting ? I would like to act as sort of a liaison between accounting and analytics.
    Would love to hear your thoughts and ideas.

    I am starting off in audit this fall. I would eventually like to get into more finance work. Investment banking is interesting to me but it is so hard to break in. So maybe I can switch to advisory/consulting role within accounting firm first? I’ve also considered going to law school but it’s really only worth it if I were to get into really good school or if have a large scholarship.

    Great video, I really like to work in a financial Field but I did a degree in chemistry how do I jump to that field i have done many self learning but I haven't done any CPA examination?

    • @trackmaster152002
      @trackmaster152002 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You'll only need to take enough classes to sit for the exam. You can look up the requirements through your state's department of labor website.
      Your chemistry degree will give you the bachelor's degree requirement, and your degree plus the extra classes will get you the 150.
      Honestly, I think that a chemistry degree is a lot harder than an accounting degree so you should be an attractive hire. You could make jokes about how the elements relate to the accounts too.

    If I have AP and Staff Accountant experience in private industry should I still try to become an Audit Associate?
    Bit of background I've been AP for 7 years, just had my first Staff Accountant interview last week and 2 more this week (I'm very confident that I will end up with a Staff Accountant position by the end of the year since I'm actively looking), I'm 2 years from getting my Bachelor's (part time student), still intended to take my CPA and in my early 40's without children.

    Hi Bill,
    Are there ways to get licensed as a CPA without working for a public accounting firm?
    I met a couple CPA’s in the private industry who ended letting their license go and so it wouldn’t have been helpful to me. I will be starting my MSA this year and just started studying for my CMA / CPA exams since 😅 I really want both licenses. I am just concerned now that I am approaching my mid-40s because I made this decision after 20 years in the accounting profession. Any advice you can think of would be appreciated! 😊

    • @TheFinancialController
      @TheFinancialController  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In New York, you can get licensed working in private industry as long as your boss is a CPA. So depends on the state. CPA has more weight than CPA if you will focus on corporate accounting.

    Hi, I have been working in a boutique consulting firm as an auditor , but there's no much employees and no seniors ,so I handle the audit from the beginning till end and I couldn't land any chance in a reputable audit firm or big4
    Now I got an offer as finance manager in an industry and I'm confused cuz I enjoy audit and looking to develop a business in it
    And I'm preparing for CPA ,
    Should I accept it ? And then go back to audit and public accounting?

    • @TheFinancialController
      @TheFinancialController  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I'd personally go work as a finance manager and learn new skills. Some times venturing into something new gives you a whole new perspective on your career/future and what you really like to do.
