    Nice video. Crisp, Clean. I found the lists with the % quite interesting. Is this reserved content, because I did not find it on the CFO site.

    Bill! Thank you for sharing this information and teaching! I've been praying for a way to have a refresher to build confidence to progress in the financial world and thus gives me hope! I just discovered your channel a couple of days ago and more than likely will sign up for the course in the near future! I share the same sentiment as others...I would have retained more from college with your teaching style lol

    Hello, one little note about current ratio - I would not say "the higher multiple, the better" :-) There is certainly a level of current assets where you would be wasting potential to create value for the shareholders. But that's it, otherwise I can't thank you enough for producing a lot of high quality material which I'm gladly recommending to all my colleagues. I'm from Europe, my company follows IFRS, not US GAAP. Which shows another beauty of your videos - local GAAP does not matter that much, vast majority of your insights are relevant worldwide. Keep up the great work!

    As a financial analyst, what are the key areas and ratios we need to check during month end?
    Like for health we check current ratio (ST) and D/E ratio.(LT)

      Gross margin, and gross margin by customer. Also, customer churn/loss ratio. Net Dollar Retention is big in software/service companies

    Hey I was wondering what are your thoughts on accounting nowadays in the US. Entry salaries have remained the same since the financial crisis. People work long hours and not that much pay in return. Is accounting still a strong career or is tech, healthcare, or finance the route. Seems like the only way to make 6 figures outside of HCOL is to be in a management position.

    • @TheFinancialController
      @TheFinancialController  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Accountants in bigger US cities are making 100-120K with 2-4 years experience and without being managers. I'd say it's still and continues to be rock-solid career choice

      @@TheFinancialController I understand, it seems Reddit has painted a rather unfavorable picture of this career path, giving me some concerns. maybe you can do a video on it, as accounting enrollments have been dropping across the country.

      I have the same question. And esp. the notoriously long hours. I had worked at Big Four before I came to the US and now with kids, I don't even know if I want to go back to industries, although I feel so under-utilized in my current job at higher edu, where the wlb is really nice.

    I have a question around financial indicators if anyone can help.
    I'm a senior Web Dev and have been approached by a person who has a Masters degree in Economics, and he wants to partner up to build a Saas project which will present 50 KPIs for whatever medium/big company that inputs its balance sheets (not sure the correct terms but I hope you get the idea)
    Apparently a massive slice of these companies don't already do this (We're in Brazil) or they pay massive amounts of money for it through consultants.
    So I've been told that this wouldn't work out without a further consultancy service. Also that companies wouldn't really trust to use this Saas due to sensitive information. And some said it would be a useful tool for financial consultants.
    I wonder what you all have to say about it.
    Peace and love to you all.

      In the US, you'd have to go through a SOC 1 audit, so companies will trust your product. A SOC 1 report is an audit report that’s scope includes both business process and information technology control objectives and testing. A SOC 1 must be issued by a CPA firm that specializes in auditing IT security and business process controls.
