- We tried Howard Lake a couple weeks before we did the trail last year. Last year was a struggle - this year was more of a struggle. Funny how that works.
Hope you guys enjoy. Check out the junk below!

Hope you guys enjoyed watching, as it actually makes it worth pushing a little further. It’s nice having you guys with us for some of the bad decisions we usually didn’t film before. See you next time.
I feel like you two would be doing this shit even without TH-cam. Poor decisions make the best memories.
We do. You are unfortunately correct. Now we try to make sure to film it. It’s just tough when the chips are down. Like way down.
If you ain’t breaking your toys every now and then, you’re not playing with them right Bruce! Beautiful country up there man. You’ll get it repaired and get it looking just as good soon enough……to break it again hopefully on another good adventure.
True enough!
That was a little sketchy 😊
Over and over and over again 😅
It's always an adventure when you bring us along. Love it.
You are nuts. :-) (And, obviously I mean that as a compliment.) Great video, and I'm VERY glad you took us along. Can't wait for next year, but maybe a couple weeks later? :-)
Maybe August! 😂 Thanks for watching
Appreciate you guys taking us along on a "what not to go on" trip. I can't imagine the frustration driving in mashed potatoes like that.
What an adventure thanks for taking us along
Great video, too bad you and Denny damaged your Jeeps. You live in such a beautiful part of the world. Thank you for posting.
Bruce and Denny: Teaching a Lesson on "Foreshadowing"
Apparently! 😩😅
The Bruce & Denny show is always entertaining and crazy what you guys endure to bring us content. And Denny, always willing to bust his butt to keep things moving. The damage to the rigs validates how brutal the trail was. It seems the most uncertain element of the trip is the uncertainty. THANKS
That was pretty wild! It looked like your sideways progress was at least 50% of your total forward progress! Glad the window was a easy replacement.
Sure felt that way!
Spirits may be low but the adventure was high. May have lost a battle but you won the war.
Thankfully! 😅 we were starting to question making it out that night
That trail has a reputation for narrowing rigs. I love watching this stuff, better you than me. 😅
😩😩
I feel your pain on this one. A continues struggle is not fun, and shoe glue not going to look good on the roof.😀But thanks for taking us along.
Thanks for bringing us all along again and choosing to not set us on fire 🔥 😅
🤣🤣you’re welcome
Thanks so much for all that on screen translating. Not sure I would have been able to figure out what portion of an hour 45 minutes matches up to without those cues. Super helpful! 😂❤
Glad you appreciated that one 😂
Looked a bit of a challenge, certainly a fun day wheeling, thanks for sharing, all the best to you and your loved ones
Awesome video enjoyed it, unfortunately your jeep looks like you did demo derby but hey toys can be fixed.
😂 and didn’t win
Not trying to take the spotlight away from you Bruce but Denny deserves a medal for his hard work! Not sure if all viewers realize he's doing twice the work when both Jeeps are on the winch. You have an awesome friend there! Cheers!
Sure does! He kills it 👍🏼
Awesome adventure. I loved the 100 ft waterfall. 😀🤙. Thanks for taking us along. This one was crazy for sure. You both did great 👍. Yay to Josh from masterglass too. Awesome job 🤙
I really enjoy watching you put your Jeeps to use. Take care guys.
Like it. Thanks for the vicarious trip. Nice of Master Glass to reach out.
A definite win for those evil trees!😆
Awesome man thanks for the ride along 🤙
I've been down the back side of Howard lake it gets really tight, the tree wells looked so crazy, you never know what you are going to get up there that time of year,
Looked exhausting getting out of there glad to see you guys made it out in one piece
Tough trails... but the drivers and jeeps are tougher... As long as you prevail in the end, that's what counts... looking forward to the panel beating video, or the external slider cage installation on the the Jeep... just slide, bounce and grind off those trees and rocks...
That’s definitely what’s cool about buggies!
You two r the best thank God for denny u guys are real people thanks for all you do for us viewers
Thank you for watching!
I can't believe you can even move through that rotten sloppy snow!! It can be treacherous on a snowmobile even!!
Pouring rain the whole time made it SO heavy
👍
Wow!
Damn. That's a lot of damage you guys took to entertain us.
Thanks for that!
Any time! 🤝🏼 (hopefully not) 😂
Thanks for not throwing the GoPro out the window. This stuff reminds me of my childhood. Well a little less snow and a lot more mud.
Sorry for asking, but are you from Sweden ?
@@heltratt6363 no, but my ancestry is Swedish
@@annaarvidson7562
Ok, i see.
Your firstname is very common and lastname common in Sweden.
And sounded like weathers in Sweden.. 😉
still a great adventure - have to do an overview of all the remodeling, of both your rig and Denny's
Thanks! Will do 👍🏼
Very nice. Glad to see you got your sea legs for the snow!
One heck of another adventure!
thanks for giving the distance in km for 2 feet of snow! hilarious.
Never know what people use 😉🤣🤣
I was hoping for furlongs or chains and links.
Dang… way to keep the spirits, mental and physical strength alive, the both of you.
Great videoing, it was almost like we were there. Not 12:hrs worth of there like you both. But definitely learned a little and enjoyed a lot!
You both deserve a raise in pay, the jeeps both killed it. Thank you for sharing and great job men!
Thank you! 🍻
Looked... Painfull! But, if its what you like, lol... Hopefully it doesn't become too expensive. Thanx !
That was a serious in the snow adventure great job of driving, thanks for sharing the trip👍.
You two are crazy, but arn"t we all, glade your both ok.
🍻
Good thing you broke that window when you did... Prevented that log sticking through it from breaking it! Looked like a rough never gets easier trip. Way to push through!
Always thinkin ahead! 😅
Thanks for the video! Really makes me want to snow wheel >
That day made me not want to snow wheel! 😂😂
Man, what an ADVENTURE. You guys should think of bying cheap few usb memory cards and a gopro cam and mount it on the dashboard to film these special trips. It would be REALLY sweet to be able to see more of longer continous shots of everything, especially the hardest parts. Also the tilting would come more apparent with mounted camera since it would also tilt the same way as car does.
You guys are fuckin crazy. And your composure on camera is admirable. No way I'd be videoing anything at that point
Wow... that looked uggin fugly on the backside. There's that one spot where it's sketchy off camber, can't even imagine with snow! Hope to make the journey up there in a few weeks!! Like the way you guys finish what you start!!
Determination is often our downfall, and salvation
The pucker factor was 100 there 33:14
Yeah… that was a bit of a moment 😅
More crazy rides, yes plz !
As long as they dont get crazier and crazier ! 😉
Just never know! 😅
@@BruceCookfmx
Take care and be safe out there !
Thanks Bruce. I'm just glad that you and Dennis didn't roll. It could have been a very different outcome
Very!
i have alot of videos to catch up on.... been crazy at work the last few weeks... need to catch up and see what all you been up to
That’s wild!
That was pretty brutal. Still amazing what you guys did though.
Holy shit boys!
Ticks on the board. 😂
Enjoyed the video.
Glad to hear it!
Ouch. I had a soft top on mine because of that reason but i didn't have ⚾️⚾️ of steel to run crazy stuff like that 😂🍻 yall crazy & i love it
Hard top has kept me upright a couple times now 😅
@@BruceCookfmx those angles are crazy man. I've been on some Idaho mountains roads but never that steep... and in snow that deep. Hey man, thanks for sharing another great video
You know what I hate about your videos… waiting for the next one!!!
😂😂 I appreciate that. Got some good ones coming up the next few months 😁
🏆⭐💪🙏🤗
Thank you for sharing this ❤️🩹
Thanks for watching!
Where's your camera guy? 😂😂
This was supposed to be a relaxing easy day… no need for that. 😆
@@DennyOfTheAlpine 😂 I figured he may have a bit too much fun on your last adventure
"I don't get paid enough for this shit" --the camera guy, probably
I think I’ll be going up there… minus the snow. I like my windows where they are.
I suggest July or August 😅
Nice work fellas hahaha!
What’s your tire of choice for snow wheeling?
I love these Nitto Trail grapplers. Keep in mind they’re heavily siped and grooved 👍🏼
Hardtop damage sucks. Broke a front corner off mine before. Hopefully yours is an easy fix.
Quit putting yourselves through so much misery. I'm just as entertained without all the tree carnage.
She’s already epoxied and bondo’d up! 😅👍🏼
To be fair, it was supposed to be a misery free day 😂😖
We never intend on the trees, but they have it out for us. I think they follow us. Same trees. Swear I see them conspiring, then bam, trees 🌲
@@DennyOfTheAlpineThey do seem to grow in the worst of places, and in the blink of an eye too
@@DennyOfTheAlpine You guys need to quit being tree huggers.
Just a thought... have you ever though about doing a exo skeleton on the outside of your Jeep?
Maybe someday
I have but it’s a lot of extra weight and drag when we’re uuuusually good without. Would be fun though
Why not drive on the high side of the snow Bank. The dirt has traction but still.
Impossible. Too steep
Also… what fenders do you have?
They are DV8 but I line-x’d them. They’ve been awesome and have taken some abuse as you can imagine 😅
You keep talking about almost tipping, I’m curious to what you jeeps actually do tip at. In the name of science and in a controlled manner. I bet it’s closer 45 degrees for the jk. The LJ maybe 40
It’s hard to test because on flat ground, it’ll go further before tipping because the outer edge of the tire is still supported. On a side hill, it’s not. It will be around 35°. Keeping in mind I don’t run sway bars. On flat ground I could maybe do 40 if I was lucky
@@BruceCookfmx my wj was soft sprung, no sway bars, fairly low though on 37’s and I measured it best I could at 40 degrees on the terrain angle but I was sitting at over 45 with the suspension collapsed in the rig and was still reasonably planted
@@BruceCookfmx the problem in the snow is the shifting and sliding and sinking though. It’s never comfortable past 35 degrees sideways but in the snow it’s way worse
@@BruceCookfmx I forgot you are on coilovers as well. And fairly long ones. I bet they unload a fair bit leaned over
And you’ll be roaring to go back up there next year, eh? With more armor and chainsaws.
Glad you guys made it out ok.
When are you getting back on the bike?
Whenever there’s another show 👍🏼
Not knowing how the off camera was, I would have been grumbling a lot more.
I enjoyed the hell out of it. You guys not so much
🤣🤣 well then it’s worth it 🍻
