Thanks Ray! I was listening to Heavy Starch again this morning... a great listen. Hop you enjoy it as much as I have! This selection has a good mix of different types of psych. I've stuck a link to a Spotify taster in the description. Cheers for watching and commenting, Jack
Your descriptions make me want to rush out and get most of these Will definitely be checking these out Dirty Art Club sounds super interesting Psych-Hop what a genre to explore
Hi Jesse, I’m real getting into the Dirty Art Club album. It’s a pretty eclectic mish mash of genres. Not sure if you’ve got Spotify, but just put a taster playlist in the description. As always, thanks for watching and commenting. Cheers, Jack
I have dipped my toes into some Psych lately mainly influenced by Brian over at Cosmic vinyl etc but you have given me yet more to explore 👍 Many thanks - just subscribed cheers Tim
Hey Tim, thanks for watching. Brian's channel is amazing. Full of great recommendations and really funny too! Hope you find a few more new things to enjoy! Cheers, Jack
I notice a double comment from Cosmic Brian. Impressive! Goat are awesome. Lost Nuggetz looks cool. Nice one one showing Bananagun. The newie is good too. Stefan Dennis 😂what a list to be included on. Dungen have so many records. I have 4 or 5 and they're all great. I'm sure Morten would say your pronunciation was spot on. Europe is certainly a hot bed of new psych & all things tripped out over the last 10 or so years. Slift are incredible. I hope they come to Australia because I imagine they would be mind melting live. Cheers...Ben
Double star dust from the Cosmic One! From what I've heard of the new Bananagun, it sounds like more of the same... maybe a bit more of a jazz sound? Which Dungen do you have? I'd like that Allas Sak album. It's a bit of an intimidating discography... I pretty much dived in blind with that last one. Oh yeah, there's a worldwide psych explosion going on at the moment. When I was in that Super Galatiic Record Supermarket in Berlin there was one room where they had their psych separated by country rather than by period of time. There was all sorts from all over the world. I barely knew any of the bands .
@ Super Galactic Record Supermarket is an excellent name. The Dungen’s I have are Ta Det Lugnt, Skit I Allt, Allas Sak, Myths & Solen Stiger Upp. Say those titles after a few shandies!
I bought the first two Goat albums but have not listened to anything since. The female vocals can get a bit screechy. I may check out a reissue of The Motions. I’ve never heard of them. I’m a fan of Mexican Garage. I have a couple of comps already that include some of the songs so I never checked out Los Nuggetz. Uzelli Psychedelic is right up my alley. Turkish Psych did come later than the UK and US Psych but it has a distinct Middle Eastern flavor. I used to say it is better on headphones because your neighbors might call Homeland Security on you. Ananda Shankar is another record I would like to get but I’ve never found a copy. I recently got a copy of Orient Express on Mainstream Records. It is an excellent example of East meets West. The album was recorded in the US but the band was two European and one Iranian guys.
Hi Richie, I've never heard of Orient Express... I've listened to some Iranian psych before on a compilation and it was really good. Very garagey. I really like the Motions. It's a bit garage with some psychedelia thrown in. Those dutch know how to get far our. I'm new to Goat, but really like the female chanting... reminds me a bit of the Death Valley Girls. Cheers for watching pal!
Great channel mate...just subbed. Been checking out a few of your previous vids. I predominantly buy 60s psych but occasionally get drawn in by some modern things. Very impressed with Bananagun and just bought both of their lps...thanks for the recommendation. Are you a familar with The Junipers? Lovely pop psych and just released a new lp, their 4th in 16 years. Really great stuff. Cheers Nige
Hi Nige, many thanks for subbing... glad you're enjoying the channel. Sounds like your buying habits are similar to mine. I like most genres, but psych has been my favourite since I was a teenager. I've not heard The Junipers before, but the name is familiar. I'll definitely check them out. I've only heard bits of the second Bananagun album... sounded really good what I heard. Didn't sound like they had strayed to far from their original sound. Cheers, Jack
@TheVinylVoyage-ud3uf Yep Jack, I also buy soul, funk, funky jazz, prog, folk and hip hop is the music of my youth. New Junipers is available on their bandcamp page if you want to partake. Regards Nige
Hey Jack! Cosmic Brian here Wow what a great bunch of Neo-Psych bands! I was in my local RS last weekend and they were playing the new Goat LP and it was blowing my mind! Unfortunately they had sold all their vinyl copies Ugh! They said they’d order me another I was actually looking at that Motions LP and it’s on my eBay watchlist After your review I think I’ll go ahead and pull the trigger and buy that album! Lots of new stuff here for me to check out! Man what a great video! Well done Jack! ✌️👽
The Motions Impressions of Wonderful is a solid bit of garagey psychedelia! It would make a fine addition to the cosmic collection. I've stuck a link to a Spotify taster in the description if you're wanting to check out any of those other albums. Cheers pal, Jack
Hey Greg, lots of different styles of psych. Some old and some new. I've stuck a spotify sampler in the description if you want a listen. Cheers for watching, Jack
Very interesting albums. A lot of times I see the same psyche albums I'm already familiar with, but these are different. I need to check some of these out. The Goat vinyl is excellent.
Hi Robert, that Goat album is a belter. I'm going to go back and check out some of their earlier albums next. Let me know if you find something in this lot that you like. A few different types of psych here. Cheers for watching, Jack
Some very nice looking Psych albums Jack. I have some Turkish psych on cd and a couple of Goat albums. Otherwise I didn't know the bands you showed. So plenty to explore. Cheers Mike 👍👍👍
Nice selection there Jack. That Broselmaschine album is brilliant, have you listened to Holderlins Traum by Hoelderlin its very Fairport Convention style interspersed with prog vibes.
Hi Mike, thanks for watching. Lots of different types of psychedelia in this lot. I'm quite enjoying the more modern stuff at the moment. I think 2024 has been another good year for music in general. Are the other Goat albums good?
Cheers Roger, thanks for watching. I know of Holderlin's Traum and came close to buying it when I was in Berlin earlier in the year. I think you can see a copy of it lying on top of the records I'm flicking through in my Berlin video. I never ended up buying it and wish I did now. I'll get a copy the next time. I also almost bought another Holderlin album, which was a bit cheaper... if I remember rightly it had a picture of clowns on the front. I love digging into all these German bands from the late 60s and 70s.
Sorry I needed to comment again on that Krokidil album Man I’ve been looking for that bad boy forever! By your review it sounds awesome! I’ve never seen that Burning Red Ivanhoe record before I’ve seen other records of theirs but not that one. I’m on the case! Thanks again Jack! ✌️👽
Krokodil are brilliant... that album is a real mix of blues rock and weird folk psych with mellotron, flutes, acoustic guitars... hippy shit! You'd love it! Burning Red Ivanhoe is more proggy... good stuff too!
Funny that you and your friend swapped goats. I used to have one of their records but it was a bit much for me. Actually it's possible I still have it, will have look. Great fun Jack!
Hi James, yeah it was the first time we’d did a record swap and kinda had the feeling it might happen! Don’t think Goat are for everyone… maybe a bit weird. Cheers for watching, Jack
I love vintage psych music, and you have a very cool accent, subbed
ha ha many thanks Ricky! You can't beat a bit of psych!
Great video! I literally just went and bought that Dirty Art Club based on your recommendation. Stoked to check out some more of these!
Thanks Ray! I was listening to Heavy Starch again this morning... a great listen. Hop you enjoy it as much as I have! This selection has a good mix of different types of psych. I've stuck a link to a Spotify taster in the description. Cheers for watching and commenting, Jack
A great cool selection of psych albums. Everything's in technicolour. Looks amazing , bet they sound it too.
Cheers Jack. 😍🎵🎵🤘
Hi Peter, yep, these are all great. Nothing too heavy and all easy to get into! Cheers for watching, Jack
Your descriptions make me want to rush out and get most of these
Will definitely be checking these out

Thanks for sharing this with us. Greg

The Motions featured Robbie the guitarist from Shocking Blue
Hey Gary, I read that, but I've never heard Shocking Blue. I'll check them out, Thanks for watching and commenting, Jack
