- Today, I am doing a luggage review on the NEW Beis Recycled Expandable Backpack. I am so excited for their recycled collection, and for anything sustainable travel. I am also so excited that it EXPANDS! This could be such a great personal item for the plane, and a great daypack during travel.
In their recycled collection, they also have their Beis North to South Tote, Beis East to West tote, Beis cosmetic organizer, and Beis jewelry case.
This travel backpack is a great addition to the Beis carry on, as it slips right over the handle with its trolley sleeve.

Thank God for your videos. They help SO MUCH! I did end up getting a bag since they JUST came back in stock. Went with black 'cause that's how I do. I love seeing how a packing cube AND THE COSMETIC CASE both fit!

I just got my north to south tote and I love it. I know their thing is travel but I would LOVE if they did a handbag line.

Hey, awesome video. Would you be able to review more bags similar. Looks nice and minimalist, multi pockets, laptop sleeve, expandable. Basically just functional. Was about to purchase this after watching this video but unfortunately on the waiting list so god knows how long it’ll be. It’ll definitely be great to see a backpack do it all convenient everyday carry stuff yet look nice. Also it’ll be great to find similar ones but a smaller size! Good luck with TH-cam, smashing it!

Okay now I want this! I am not much of a backpack girl. I prefer totes. But you convinced me on this one! I just wish they had grey to match my mini weekend. Black would match but I hate black interiors. I may have to for beige! Thanks for all of your great videos!

My biggest two gripes one does it have two zippers for the main compartment and two does the beige stain easily? Love ur videos and I also here it’s coming back this month💕
I’ve been eyeballing the Beis sport duffel. I’m interested in the fact you could carry it as a backpack or with a shoulder strap. I would love to see you review one!! Most of the other reviews I have found are just packing it for a gym bag but I am interested in using it as a personal item for airline travel.
I’ll keep it in mind! Personally, I’m not crazy interested in it, so It’s hard to buy it for a review. Maybe I should start going to the gym and then I’ll need it 😂
Kristie, I researched a little bit (and even went to Nordstrom to see if they had one in person lol) and there’s a lot of people in the reviews that took them as a personal item in addition to their luggage. Looks like a great size for that! It has the trolley sleeve so it’s great to slip over the luggage handles.
If it’s the same material as the sport pack (and it’s the same collection so it should be) then it’s an even better fabric to travel with than the weekender canvas type of material.

I love my sport duffle. I’ve used it during my international and domestic trips this year. I don’t carry a lot, and the back straps game changer. If they added a pad for laptop inside, it would be perfect.
This is why I haven't purchased it yet! @@mrkitty5581 I figured it didn't have enough structure to hold heavier items? What do you think? If the laptop is in a padded case - would it work or just be uncomfortable?
I love it and debating between the two colors. Do the straps slip off easily? I have two kids so I need a backpack to stay put and not slip off a raincoat for example. Btw excellent video.

Hi! I know this is a late comment but hopefully you’ll see it 😊 I have a 16” Mabook Pro (screen is 16” diagonally), but the actual dimensions of it are 13x10”. Would I be able to fit it anywhere in this backpack? I don’t mind if I doesn’t fit in the actual laptop compartment. Thanks in advance!
Hello, gorgeous backpack! I have more backpacks than I need already, so why am I tempted?! If I purchase it, I'll get the beige one. The outer water bottle holder seems more sturdy than the one on the Ebags Motherlode (that one is definitely a design flaw), so good for Beis!
This one is definitely small and best for a personal item or daypack! I have it with me at work today! It folds flat too to put IN your mother lode 😂 decisions!!

Oh, also checked out the cosmetic case (of which I also have plenty already!!) and I wish they'd show the bottom part opened up in their demo video. If you get it, would you show that, please? It's probably pretty basic, but I still think it's odd that there's no photo or part of the demo that shows it opened. Hmmm...

Gah - love the look of this, though I’m reading reviews of tears (and I think your regular pretty black Beis backpack tore if memory serves). Still between this and Calpack Luka laptop backpack.
The zipper broke on my regular backpack, but I’ve used this a lot on many trips and as a daily backpack and it’s been fine :) Calpak has always broken for me, but that’s more luggage than accessories. I haven’t tried their accessories.

I’m loving this backpack! Could you review it as well as the mini weekender together. Packing them both? I’m unsure which I want for my personal. Do you have a preference?
I always prefer backpacks for personal items! This one can double as a nice day pack, for a hike or a tour. I am bringing this one with me on my next trip and will be packing it :) I like my mini and weekenders moreso for overnights and short road trips!

@@absheradventures674 this collection was limited, but they might put more out, you never know! A few days later they released their new pink collection, so I’m sure they were focused on that, and then hopefully bring more recycled ones back!
I do really love their normal backpack though. I have traveled with that one for the past year! It doesn’t expand, but it is very roomy and a bit larger than this one.
Thanks for the review. How is the backpack in an ergonomic sense? Does it provide good support when you are wearing and it’s heavy? That’s my only concern. Otherwise, it looks great
It’s been great! I have back problems so I try not to ever use anything too heavy. Between the good size, and the trolley sleeve, travel has been great.

I prefer the beige color but i’m worried if I take it as a day pack for hiking/adventuring that it’s going to be impossible to clean if I get something on it
I haven’t used it a ton. I brought it to all of my sons football games this year. But since it’s a shiny nylon type fabric, I think everything would wipe off, unlike their backpacks that are a canvas type material :) I think they said January for a restock.

Do you normally pack your hair tools (flat iron, curling iron etc) in the personal item or in the carry on with all the rest of your stuff? Do you have any smaller travel size hair tools that you use?
I have a flat iron that I bring with me (l’ange le duo) to curl my hair, and I pack it in my carry on most of the time. I have tried smaller size ones and I have yet to find one that I like.
I have started doing heatless wraps at night (that’s what I had for the soft curls in this video) which has been game changing too!
Is it possible to add a lock on the zipper? I've been wanting the black but I want something more secure for Europe

Super helpful review! I love the bag but i'm worried my laptop won't fit. I often find that websites will say "fits 13" and 15" laptop" but don't share the actual dimensions of the laptop sleeve. My work laptop is 14.5" x 10". Any chance you could share the maximum dimensions for the laptop interior?
Let me measure! It’s 14.5 x 11. I’m trying to find anything in my house that is that size to try to fit it in!

Hi Lauren! I've been watching all your Beis reviews as I'm going to be ordering luggage when the atlas pink carry on becomes available in october. What I'm hoping you can answer for me is about coupon codes. I've signed up with them & got a 15% coupon code from the little spinner on the site lol. I know there are other coupon codes all the time, but what I'm wondering is this: can I use a coupon code on multiple orders? (not the same code, obviously) Or is it a you can only use one on your first order situation? I'm only thinking about placing an order sooner because I'd hate for the atlas pink mini weekender to be sold out when I buy my luggage, or just in case the cosmetic organizer comes back in stock before luggage release as well, I'd want to snap that up before it goes out of stock again too. I just don't want to use a coupon for my less expensive order and not be able to use one for the luggage since I'm considering buying a carry on and a checked bag as well. Also, *sometimes* if you spend a lot of time on the site and put something in your cart while you are signed in, and then walk away, a lot of the times they will text you and ask you if you want a 15% off code!

I can fit an entire capsule wardrobe of about 38 outfits in one
Doesn’t beige get dirty easily especially if you’re going to put it under the airplane seats?
I've brought this bag on 4 trips across the world and to an entire season of varsity and jv football games, as well as 2 photoshoots in detroit, its still clean :) this fabric is very cleanable, unlike their weekender.

I'm really intrigued by this one since I'm struggling with the idea of buying a personal item bag small enough for Iberia and Finnish Air since so few airlines require them that small. This could be a great compromise! Have you tested any of the Nordace Sienna bags - specifically the newer Pro line?

Is it light weight or material stiff. Are straps soft or harder
It’s stiff enough to have a shape, but lightweight and somewhat Moldable. The straps are soft and padded
