I had been driving all the way to Nashville for southwest (about two hours), but recently decided to suck it up and use what’s at my local airport in North Alabama. Options are Delta, United, American, and two budget options (Breeze and Silver). I think United will be my go-to. Edited because we had Frontier last time I checked, but it was replaced with Breeze (good riddance, lol).
I am flying Delta to Europe but have a connection with KLM on the way home. That's the problem since I will need a small carry-on. I really want to buy the Beis but know it will give me trouble. According to its website, the Beis carry on is too big for many domestic airlines, which is shocking. I wish that they had an international carry on.

Not sure how many of your viewers are based outside of the US but I’m sure we all appreciate it! When I travel overseas I usually check a bag so I generally use a carry on suitcase only when I travel to closer places in Europe. And usually that’s Ryanair or another low cost airline that only has a personal item included in the base price and is very strict in terms of carry on sizes. My favourite luggage brand is Beis (I bought the large check in suitcase after watching your videos and love it!) but unfortunately can’t buy their carry on due to the size. They should realise this and make a smaller one because they’re losing all the potential non-US customers.

After watching your review on it I got obsidian/black for me and my mom. We LOVE IT. I had to wait months because it was back ordered and I can see why. I think in a few years Monos will move up the luxury ladder because their quality and consumer service it’s top notch. IMO their costumer service is the best I’ve experienced after Apple.

Most helpful luggage video ever! I’m torn between the monos carry on and carry on plus. I prefer a slightly bigger bag, but I know with the smaller carry on I won’t ever have to worry about if it fits. Still undecided, but this video helps so much.
Do you internationally travel a lot, or stay domestic? If you plan on flying internationally, always the smaller one. And if you ever need packing help, I have tons of videos to help you fit 1-2 weeks worth of stuff in that size :)

New to your channel & found this to be extremely helpful! Haven't flown in quite a few years (2002)lol Grew up flying stand by on Braniff airlines! Father worked for them, sadly they went under in 1982.
Delta doesn’t have sizers! They take everything carry on wise. But make sure it’s not KLM or Air France on the way back (Delta partners) because it won’t be accepted.

I have flown almost ever airline you mentioned and the only one I have had trouble with that you didn't mention is KLM. The watch like a hawk unless you are first/business class and then they will let your carry on slide if it is oversized. All others were no problem, but I have head air canada is VERY strict.
My favorite videos… I use a Samsonite Freeform 21’ and usually fly United no issues.. I am taking Air Canada to Tokyo (through Pearson :/) and I’m scared.. so rewatching your video.. which hub were you at?
@@ItsTheKellys no, I would be risking force check.. overall it’s 23X10X15 (which is not huge) but it’s a little tall and a little to wide … Air Canada is a little bit crazy with on their dimensions :/ (staring out of ORD so not sure how strict they are, but first plane is a smaller one to Toronto connection)
@@amay7457 yeah the sizers are actually a cage, and not a box… so most carry ons can fit, but the wheels stick out of the cage a tiny bit, so it’s subjective and up to the gate agent.

The space available for your cabin baggage is dependent on the aircraft type, not the airline. I presume (but do not know) that the airline will provide a baggage "sizer" relevant to the aircraft you will be flying in.

Love it, the best part was all of them falling off the cart. Shows how well they were made. We tend to fly Delta most since we fly out of Atlanta and it's their hub. Hard to fly anything else out of there.
I flew Lufthansa’s budget airline Eurowings from Rome to Cologne last week. Coming from the USA I was worried about baggage strictness so I used my smaller carry on piece that met their dimensions. Once I went through the flying experience, I saw the staff didn’t care for rolling carry on sizes and people had quite large rolling luggages similar to that largest monos.
Great to know, thanks! Most airlines outside of the US have small sizes and weights, but I’ve only ever been checked for weight twice in my 8 years of travel and 88 countries! (Air France and jet star!)
@@ItsTheKellys Air France was strict. I had a layover at CDG and did my VAT refund there. Security tried to get my to weight my carry on (I refuse to check in) at the Air France station but I was adamant that I was leaving Paris on westjet. So they let me go ahead.
@@mandeep5704in December of 2022, I flew Air France economy (second to last group to board) from CDG to Lisbon with a Monos Hybrid Carry-on Plus. No one (not Security nor Gate Agents) asked to weigh nor measure my bag. I guess it all depends on the person and their mood that day and time. @ItsTheKellys is correct about Delta taking the Monos Hybrid Plus with no questions. I have flown with it on several trips with them and had no issues. In two weeks I fly KLM Business to Venice so will see if they have an issue with the slightly larger Carry-on Plus.
I just came back from Austria and Germany flying Austrian airline. No one checks or care about the size of the carry-on and they all fit on top of the plane, even smaller planes. This was 12/6/2023 for time reference.
On international flights they have weight restrictions for carry ons, why do the Hybrid mono weight 1-2 lbs more and have less packing space? I was looking to get a zipper less luggage case because of security reasons, from what I've heard people are breaking through the zippers. It seems on their site those weight more and have less volume space.

I normally travel to Asia so just wondering if the Mono Plus still passes or just go with the safest bet and get the the normal carry on and have you done the zipper test to see if can be broken into easily? a lot of questions sorry
I dont, but I do know that the plus is considering ridiculously huge to the rest of the worlds standards, probably like our food portions 😂 I would stay as safe as possible with the normal size 😏

I wish you had let us know the style that fit. By the time you were finished I forgot which was which. I haven't decided whether to spend the money on a new piece of luggage since I don't travel that often. I have a soft-sided LL Bean, with 2 wheels. What do you think?
Basically any regular carry on size will fit in all of them. The plus size is harder to fit. As for your soft one, it depends on the dimensions. They need to be 22 x 14 x 9
I don’t have a favorite airline. I tend to go where the deals are. I do, however, have a list of airlines that I will not fly. 👀☺️Seems like I fly United quite a bit. As I go to Houston and Jersey a lot. (United has a hub in both places). I just got the beautiful Monos Terracotta carry on. Didn’t need the pro because if I take my laptop- I would prefer it be in my personal item. (Backpack or tote). And I didn’t want to chance the pro being too large as a carry on. I like hassle free travel. ☺️ Love your videos!

I wish you had done Delta since that is the airline I fly most and am using them to fly to Europe this summer
Delta doesn’t have sizers! They take everything carry on wise. But make sure it’s not KLM or Air France on the way back (Delta partners) because it won’t be accepted.

Everytime I’ve been to the terminal, they only have the scale to weigh checked bags.

Thanks for doing all taht work. I just wish y'all still would of done the sizing for delta. Especially the weekender bag from Mono's.
Delta doesn’t have sizers and allows almost everything. The weekender is carry on size.

Thank y'all for going to the time and trouble to make this video! I prefer the way the hybrid is made without zippers but I really like the terrazzo color. Since I'll mostly be flying Delta when I start traveling again, I may go with the terrazzo carry-on plus.
The terrazzo is gorgeous, but my champagne colored hybrid is my favorite 100% she’s just so pretty and metallic and I love the latches
@@ItsTheKellys Do you have the regular or larger size hybrid? I'm thinking of getting the regular size if I fly an international airline. The main reason I like the terrazzo is because it wouldn't show scuffs.

I have flown almost ever airline you mentioned and the only one I have had trouble with that you didn't mention is KLM. The watch like a hawk unless you are first/business class and then they will let your carry on slide if it is oversized. All others were no problem, but I have head air canada is VERY strict.
I fly KLM often and they have never looked twice at my luggage!

My favorite videos… I use a Samsonite Freeform 21’ and usually fly United no issues.. I am taking Air Canada to Tokyo (through Pearson :/) and I’m scared.. so rewatching your video.. which hub were you at?

@@ItsTheKellys no, I would be risking force check.. overall it’s 23X10X15 (which is not huge) but it’s a little tall and a little to wide … Air Canada is a little bit crazy with on their dimensions :/ (staring out of ORD so not sure how strict they are, but first plane is a smaller one to Toronto connection)
@@amay7457 yeah the sizers are actually a cage, and not a box… so most carry ons can fit, but the wheels stick out of the cage a tiny bit, so it’s subjective and up to the gate agent.

The space available for your cabin baggage is dependent on the aircraft type, not the airline. I presume (but do not know) that the airline will provide a baggage "sizer" relevant to the aircraft you will be flying in.

Love it, the best part was all of them falling off the cart. Shows how well they were made. We tend to fly Delta most since we fly out of Atlanta and it's their hub. Hard to fly anything else out of there.
Understandable! We have an entire terminal for Delta and prefer it for sure
I flew Lufthansa’s budget airline Eurowings from Rome to Cologne last week. Coming from the USA I was worried about baggage strictness so I used my smaller carry on piece that met their dimensions. Once I went through the flying experience, I saw the staff didn’t care for rolling carry on sizes and people had quite large rolling luggages similar to that largest monos.
Great to know, thanks! Most airlines outside of the US have small sizes and weights, but I’ve only ever been checked for weight twice in my 8 years of travel and 88 countries! (Air France and jet star!)
@@ItsTheKellys Air France was strict. I had a layover at CDG and did my VAT refund there. Security tried to get my to weight my carry on (I refuse to check in) at the Air France station but I was adamant that I was leaving Paris on westjet. So they let me go ahead.
@@mandeep5704in December of 2022, I flew Air France economy (second to last group to board) from CDG to Lisbon with a Monos Hybrid Carry-on Plus. No one (not Security nor Gate Agents) asked to weigh nor measure my bag. I guess it all depends on the person and their mood that day and time.
@ItsTheKellys is correct about Delta taking the Monos Hybrid Plus with no questions. I have flown with it on several trips with them and had no issues.
In two weeks I fly KLM Business to Venice so will see if they have an issue with the slightly larger Carry-on Plus.
I just came back from Austria and Germany flying Austrian airline. No one checks or care about the size of the carry-on and they all fit on top of the plane, even smaller planes. This was 12/6/2023 for time reference.
On international flights they have weight restrictions for carry ons, why do the Hybrid mono weight 1-2 lbs more and have less packing space? I was looking to get a zipper less luggage case because of security reasons, from what I've heard people are breaking through the zippers. It seems on their site those weight more and have less volume space.
Because it has aluminum features, and aluminum always weighs more. The packing space is barely noticeable.

I normally travel to Asia so just wondering if the Mono Plus still passes or just go with the safest bet and get the the normal carry on and have you done the zipper test to see if can be broken into easily? a lot of questions sorry
I dont, but I do know that the plus is considering ridiculously huge to the rest of the worlds standards, probably like our food portions 😂 I would stay as safe as possible with the normal size 😏

I wish you had let us know the style that fit. By the time you were finished I forgot which was which. I haven't decided whether to spend the money on a new piece of luggage since I don't travel that often. I have a soft-sided LL Bean, with 2 wheels. What do you think?
Basically any regular carry on size will fit in all of them. The plus size is harder to fit.
As for your soft one, it depends on the dimensions. They need to be 22 x 14 x 9

According to the website, it won’t. It’s typical carry on size, not larger. 😔
I don’t have a favorite airline. I tend to go where the deals are. I do, however, have a list of airlines that I will not fly. 👀☺️Seems like I fly United quite a bit. As I go to Houston and Jersey a lot. (United has a hub in both places).
I just got the beautiful Monos Terracotta carry on. Didn’t need the pro because if I take my laptop- I would prefer it be in my personal item. (Backpack or tote). And I didn’t want to chance the pro being too large as a carry on. I like hassle free travel. ☺️
