I feel there is a difference between "Jon missed a monster on screen" and "Jon missed a circle around the marker thus ignoring a core Mechanic of the game" when it comes to -1 Perception.
It's a shame that Jon recorded this on the initial 1.0 release version it seems, because the first patch fixed the issue with the buttons just stopping the kart. They are supposed to say interesting facts about each little section and the different species that inhabit that part. Its really the only world building the game has, but is quite nice flavor.
There will probably hundreds of comments saying this but just on the off chance. JON you know if you hold down the throw food button you can throw it further meaning you can reach the critters that are further away..
@@Torlik11 Well yes, but there's a difference between "I didn't notice that distant creature I wasn't looking for" and "I didn't notice the thing that's literally right in front of me and appears whenever I throw something, as if it's some sort of important part of the mechanic"
I've been putting TH-cam videos on as background noise while I work, but this one has me leaned forward and watching intently. This game is so cute and I love that it's spooky but in a cute way. For maybe the third time ever I stopped the video mid-way so I could go buy it without being spoiled.
this is so endearing and lovingly made!! I feel like everybody who's waiting for Pokemon Snap 2 should just get this one and spare themselves the inevitable disappointment 😅
The game agrees with you about the Jellyfish, given that the comment is "I don't care if it's one, two, three, or four. I just want them out of my park!"
Hey Jon, unrelated to this video, but there is a new netflix series called "barbaren". If the quote "Varus, give me back my legions!" means anything to you, then you should roughly know what the series is about. Also, try to watch in the original language as the romans actually speak latin.
Halfway through the video I had to come to the comments to see if he ever figured out the charge shot on the ball mechanic because it was annoying me so much.
We buy graphics cards for hundreds of USD/EUR but the gaming industry now moves into a direction where many games look like they are exclusively made for 6-year-old kids. I don't get it.
I like how jon missed the snail the first what ... 3 drivebys right at the start? Then the constant failing to charge the throw, that was kinda painful at times, not gonna lie! :P
With this and Umurangi getting positive attention the future looks bright for people who are interested in photography but don't have the budget for equipment.
I legitimately don't think Dan would make it through a single game tbh. Jon might be able to stick it out and flail his way through, but I 100% believe Dan would just throw his headphones off and leave the room after the first big scare.

Maybe it's -2 now...
"Anything else we can grab or destroy?"
Definitely British safari simulator 2020.
A whole game around Jon's perception abilities. This will be marvelous.

This game's art style is just the right balance of creepy yet endearing, they really nailed it. I think I might have to play this myself sometime.
so Jon didn't realise he could charge up the shot with the penko ball?
I've been screaming inside "Jon, there's even a charge meter in the middle of the screen" all the flippin' time 🤣🤣🤣
There are many things that Jon don't realise. That's why he's known as "The Man Without Perception".

@@globalincident694 Fair enough, still it's -1 perception 😉
It's not like charging up shots is a common staple in video games or anything...
Terminology for Jon:
Spooky is a dog with a tiny witch hat
Scary is existential dread and believing you will never be a good person
So would a skeletal witch dog not knowing if they're a good boy be a
spooky scary skeleton?
@@pale2457 yes
"Sometimes when creatures go pop, it's like how they reproduce."
A part 2 would be nice since it doesn't look like there's much more left and now you know you can charge the throws.
"Dougs are just naturally slightly weird." Yeah, that describes the two Dougs I've known...
The one I know of is a bit quirky
Doug Demuro has lots of quirks and features
Jon, with a perception score of 0, plays a game which relies on spotting things... What could go wrong!

The art style is gorgeous to me, I sorta get lost in it. This was fun.
8:31 it's Hatifnats! from Moomin!! :0
Jon I think you can charge your bait throw to make it go further. Everytime you threw your bait a little circle cursor popped up.
The game agrees with you about the Jellyfish, given that the comment is "I don't care if it's one, two, three, or four. I just want them out of my park!"
"This is the same premise as N64 pokemon snap!" I say as I completely blank out on the title of this video 😆

"uninterrupted shromp" is now the title of my autobiography.
Will we ever get to see you play the original Pokémon Snap?
Do you all think he tried hitting the button a second time...? Probably..?
Ah nvm, shows me for commenting before finishing
Jon why don’t you hold down the button to charge the throw!

This is Jon’s Spoooky haloween game.... Love It !!
Please continue playing!
Halfway through the video I had to come to the comments to see if he ever figured out the charge shot on the ball mechanic because it was annoying me so much.
Can anyone figure out why Jon can't press the button?
Reminds me of Spoopy’s House of Jumpscares, which is always a good thing
I love this. Thank you, I need it. Can I play it on switch?
Day 171 of requesting zoo tycoon. Welcome.... to Penko Park! (cue the copyrighted music)
Aye;) MORE! ZOO PARKZ Now
Jon, Penki isn't dead. That's just another Penki; it's a species, not a given name.
Is it just me or does this game look very similar to Zion from Honest Hearts?
Your scientists were so preoccupied with whether or not they could, they didn't stop to think if they should.
The art style makes me think of Pikuniku. That just me or did anyone else think it looked similar too?
It remind me of Beyond Good and evil.
That's it. That's it.
I'm downloading the game.
I saw the title and thought pokemon snap came out for switch finally 😭😭
Livestream, please!
Rumple looks a bit like a petrified Thomas the tank engine.

Many an True SCAR! LOL;)
Was honestly expecting a Stellaris review video. Colour me surprised.
Finish it!!!!
N-new Pokemon Snap?! Are you serious?
Edit: Apparently yes! I might need to get a Switch now.

Only Jon can make me watch someone play such an incredibly boring game!
