If you buy books and plan on removing the dust jackets when you style shelving, save the dust jackets! If you decide at a later date to sell the books, the value will be higher if the book has its dust jacket. Also, fine art books tend to hold their value better than other titles
Ah, the joys of home improvement! The more you do it the more you’ll learn. My husband and I are now too old for this kind of thing but the satisfaction of a perfect home created by us is priceless!

So happy the tile correction was easier than most! Someone told me years ago to always get a "tile man" because they are worth the money. I believe you are "The Exception To The Rule!" I tiled a bathroom once and it was so pathetic I don't want to ever talk about it - lol. You are truly the hardest working design renovator I've ever seen! Please remember to use those knee pads whether or not your knees hurt - you'll thank me one day - seriously! Best of everything to you, Doll 💖

That wallpaper from Gracie's was breathtaking. I went on their website to drool. Unfortunately, I live in an apartment now, but I used to have a 1923 craftsman home, including a formal dining room. I would have spent thousands on some of this wallpaper if I had seen it back then. Your home is beautiful, love watching designing it.

All the beautiful pottery was really big in the 80’s. I have a great collection which I didn’t want to get rid of, so I stored it all away when the trends changed. I’m glad I kept them because they are back on trend again! Just shows you!

Hi Drew. I just wanted to make sure that before you grout your tiles, that you check to see if you should be putting a sealer on them first. We had natural stone tiles, and HD highly recommended that we use the sealer first or the grout would bond to the stone. It's very easy to use. Just wipe on, and you're good to go! Good luck with the rest of your tiling!

Seeing your videos of going to the markets reminds me of when I was younger going to the flea markets with my parents. They used to collect antiques, mainly glass dinner sets (ruby red antique and another one) and my dad was very into old oil lamps and vintage glass light fixtures like old Tiffany that looked like stained glass. They got other random antiques too. I loved to go and get steamed hot dogs from the food cart when we went and walk around looking at all the stuff.
We've been our house for 20 years have done three major remodeling projects including an addition. My husband has taught himself plumbing, electrical, most carpentry, HVAC, roofing...and yet we still hire someone to do tile. It's HARD. You're doing so great. So glad you didn't have to rip up your whole floor. :D The little amber stemmed glasses are cordial glasses. So yeah, kinda like shot glasses. Most people use them to serve sherry or brandy.
I have been collecting studio pottery for many years and am so happy that you have discovered it. I absolutely LOVE all of the pieces you found. The pot with the lid is gorgeous! And the teapot...love! Please make sure you use your pieces and not just display them. They're meant to be functional, but make sure that they are food safe. Love your channel!
The little browny cups are ment for a kind of wine sweet and thick, (called "olorosos") like Sherry wine, and for other kind of white, young and dry wines called "manzanilla" and "fino". Most of them are typical from a particular part of Spain (Andalucía). Here, those cups are called "catavinos" (the translation would be something like wine-testers 😂) I love your videos and your content. Love from Spain. Cheers🥰❤

I send so much stuff that I make to the thrift store thinking that it's not good enough to keep but then I see you picking stuff up that is so irregular and interesting, I'm thinking twice about stuff that I give away to the thrift stores.

you were sooo brave to even attempt this project in the first place with no experience. this is the disadvantage of big box stores, if you were purchasing from a person you’d ask for stone tile grout and they’d give it to you. you did an incredible job.

Seeing your videos of going to the markets reminds me of when I was younger going to the flea markets with my parents. They used to collect antiques, mainly glass dinner sets (ruby red antique and another one) and my dad was very into old oil lamps and vintage glass light fixtures like old Tiffany that looked like stained glass. They got other random antiques too. I loved to go and get steamed hot dogs from the food cart when we went and walk around looking at all the stuff.
We've been our house for 20 years have done three major remodeling projects including an addition. My husband has taught himself plumbing, electrical, most carpentry, HVAC, roofing...and yet we still hire someone to do tile. It's HARD. You're doing so great. So glad you didn't have to rip up your whole floor. :D The little amber stemmed glasses are cordial glasses. So yeah, kinda like shot glasses. Most people use them to serve sherry or brandy.
I have been collecting studio pottery for many years and am so happy that you have discovered it. I absolutely LOVE all of the pieces you found. The pot with the lid is gorgeous! And the teapot...love! Please make sure you use your pieces and not just display them. They're meant to be functional, but make sure that they are food safe. Love your channel!

That floor is gorgeous! Your taste is off the chart ! All your finds at the flea market I just love.
The little browny cups are ment for a kind of wine sweet and thick, (called "olorosos") like Sherry wine, and for other kind of white, young and dry wines called "manzanilla" and "fino". Most of them are typical from a particular part of Spain (Andalucía). Here, those cups are called "catavinos" (the translation would be something like wine-testers 😂)

I'm a potter and I'm always so interested in the things you pick up. I send so much stuff that I make to the thrift store thinking that it's not good enough to keep but then I see you picking stuff up that is so irregular and interesting, I'm thinking twice about stuff that I give away to the thrift stores.
When I find a handmade piece at the thrift store- it’s considered a GEM to me! 🤩 I bet yours are just that!

you were sooo brave to even attempt this project in the first place with no experience. this is the disadvantage of big box stores, if you were purchasing from a person you’d ask for stone tile grout and they’d give it to you. you did an incredible job.
