I absolutely love what you did with the floor lamp! I think it would look more proportional with a larger cylindrical lampshade rather than the tapered smallish one. Vertical sides on a shade would also match the vertical lines of the pole wrap.

My daughter just graduated top design school, she had to design a thesis project it looks like it’s straight stepped out of the 70s and she asked me what I thought of it… Of course I had heard about it for months and how cool it was and it was a good drawing and or several good drawings and a lot of work went into it, so I told her Hooker her project was perfect and bought her roses. Afterwards my husband and I got a good laugh 😂

The Advent calendar!!! What a genius idea, prompted perhaps by the simple fact of the 48 compartments! I also love the faux mercury glass -- which actually reminds me of Florentine gilded leather. Brilliant.

I want to cry, when I see your US thrift stores & junk shops. I’m so jealous. We have so much junk, in my area of Canada . Sometimes really nice things, but lots of little bits of junk. I wanted to scream when I saw the rattan chair &, I think, desk. Lucky ducks! 🥰
I LOVE the advent calendar!!!! With the mirror I think the stained glass would be a perfect background, imagining a handwritten a quote, or a picture drawn on a yellowish newspaper, cut out and put on the mirror, anyway love the projects!
Most southerners will recognize the wooden piece u found is a pineapple w a missing top! Pineapples are a sign of hospitality. Love how your mind works, these are amazing flips!
Could not choose a favourite because they were all awesome. But I think my mind was the most blown by the floor lamp. What a transformation, turning a six dollar lamp into something that looks like it cost hundreds of dollars!!!
That blue chain is a dog toy! My dogs love theirs. I LOVE that your creative mind looked at it and thought “I can cover this in clay and do something with it”. ❤️
I love the lamp! I might cut the cylinder down to the base of the bulb holder part, cut a circle collar out of balsa wood from the craft store and paint it with the same paint as the base. Then buy a larger harp for the shade to rest on. That would lift it a bit. ❤️ I love all the flips! Love the alcohol ink!
I found 3 of those cassette boxes a couple years ago and couldn't decide what to do with them, but couldn't part with them either. Sooooo happy I found this video today! What a great gift this would be. The wood is beautiful as is, so a quick turnover, as well. Thank you!!! LOVE this!!! I also happen to have some huge cardboard tubes which I am totally planning on using for a lamp. Amazing!!!
Love the mirror effect. I have done that before but I have never used alcohol inks on metal. Good tip. Your thrift flips are my grab episodes. I say never pay full price. So thriving is right up my alley.
The pole wrap material is new information for me. My mind started going crazy with ideas. I love the advent calendar. It is a great use for those tape holders that are everywhere and not longer useful. Happy Holidays Drew.
The wood “vase” is the top piece resembling a pineapple to a wooden tiered stand. It had wooden removable stems (used for scoops)on the top and the holes are for toothpicks.
That is the best use for an old cassette holder I have ever seen. And it's actually useful and doesn't look like a something that is a badly modified cassette holder . I will keep my eye out for one of those at the thrift store.

Favorite is the Advent Calendar!! 2nd is the framed mercury glass, I am loving art deco right now. 3rd is the candle holders. And last but not least is the lamp. I think I would put a larger more formidable shade on it though. Loved all of them! Well done Drew!
You can also get the card board tubes from a carpet store. I've used them as decorative pillars, just painted them. I'll have to look up the pole wrap, oh the things I could do with that!! Great ideas Drew!
