Over the past few years, your fly fishing videos have inspired me to love Fly Fishing and fishing with the Catch and Release system to preserve the existing fish. The amazing video capture technique makes every time I watch it inspires me to make my fishing videos like yours. But I believe my video is still far from expectations and will keep trying. Thanks for the inspiration 🙏😁
I really appreciate this! Thank you so much for the message. Over the years I have had the pleasure to be creative and inspire many to get out on the river, but to also pick up a camera. I love to hear this from you. You just made my day. Thanks for sharing my work with others!!!
Man... I just can't find the words do describe how much I like your videos, it's just amazing, everything, the editing, the landscape, I don't even have to say it but the caches and all the rest, I am speechless every time I see one of your videos. Keep up the job Tod!!!
Wow, thanks Ayun for this. I really appreciate yours comments here. I’ve worked hard to keep this up and will try by best to keep cranking away. Thanks for watching and sharing my work!!!!
I’m sure it’s not easy to keep upping yourself with better and better videos. Once you’ve reached a mastery level, where do you go next? Is there such a thing as a videographer’s block? Beautiful work as always, Todd!
It is GREAT news to hear that NZ is opening up to the world again. I was planning a trip with a guide over there but then this crazy virus thing happened. This video has got the fire going again. Thank you. Tight lines.
I agree… it’s been tough. But the country is planning on opening in two weeks so get your flights and guides booked early. It really is a special place. Have fun if you get down next season.
Viewers should take careful notes of how this guy approaches spots. When you have gin clear water, you have to employ painstaking stealth tactics. Crouching down behind boulders, getting a perch up high on logs to scout the river from above and away, minimal weight tackle, and above all else, super long accurate casting are the things that separate folks that catch a fish or two from those that get double digits. Well done showing the world how the damn thing is done correct, and for the high quality video production. Keep em coming!
Yes, I agree with you. That’s just how they do it in New Zealand and in many other countries. The landing nets are changing quickly, the atv’s not so much. The real problem in NZ is the pollution from helicopter travel. Bryan uses his atv for clients who can’t access the river at all. Like an off road wheelchair to get them from place to place.
Wow what a beautiful place to fish New Zealand seems to be the land of the monster trout. It's always funny to me that all over the world we still fish the same techniques the "Hopper dropper" is one of my favorite was to chase trout. Thanks for another awesome video Todd.
Thank you so much. Yes, I really try to concentrate on just the dry fly technique, but dry/dropper is deadly when these fish get picky in super low water conditions. It’s fun to watch either way. Thanks for the support!
Heck yeah Tony. Great to hear from you. Glad you liked this normal upload… I’d love to hear your thoughts on the shorts. How they could be better if I keep up with them. Let me know, I appreciate your feedback.
WOW! ... you even CATCHED me! ;-) ... I really admire your GREAT WORK ... brilliant pictures, awesome fish, strong music ... watching and listening is a true pleasure! ... best wishes - HAPPY EASTER TIME to you ... CHEERS from Austria!
I'll pay a pretty penny for someone to find me the song in this video! Great video by the way, I lived in New Zealand and I got serious nostalgia watching this
I think you should one day make a film on the Tongariro or Taupo in general. The Tongariro's already been well documented a long time ago and everything but I still think it'd be a good idea because it's changed and it's only really vlog Yotubers doing it now, so a film would be cool and you're someone with that kind of capability.
@@CatchMagazine my pleasure i still maintain NZ is blessed by the fishing gods i lived there for 6 years such a fishing mecca thanks for another great video.
I hear ya… I have to mix it up a bit every so often. Since you commented… I love to hear what you think about the #shorts in between the longer films? Thanks!!!!

NZ is EPIC!! Great video Todd!

Brilliant. Those west coast rivers can blow out with big rains, but that was about as clear as they come.
Another homerun Todd!

Awesome! Great video of some great fishing and beautiful fish. The quad in the water made me squirm, but it must have been necessary.
An amazing video as always but knotted landing nets and driving an ATV through a river?

I would expect 24fps, this is more of a "sportish" documentray than art, sorry for the rant.
