    I know a lot of ppl hate on China/Chinese products but the fact is that china makes the majority of what we have and use here i the US. Like anywhere there are companies that thrive off of cheap manufacturing but there are plenty of Chinese companies that produce quality products even if we aren't familiar with the brands. I know this video is a few years old but Joying a few other companies have come quite a ways in the android head unit market.

      Thinking about giving my flip out pioneer to my gf for her car and trying this out. If I do, would the wiring harnesses be very different? Or are most wires universal except for a few? I’m assuming each harness is fairly different if even the JOYING radios varied by wire color like you said in the video.

    Great video! Complete and thorough, with good editing for smooth viewing. Inspired me to install the same setup. I know its a year later but hopefully you can answer a quick question. The illumination/dimmer wire.... I hooked it up to the same circuit on the hvac unit like you did. But it doesn't seem to work right. When I turn on the headlights it seems to get a little brighter, and the knob left of the steering wheel doesn't really do anything to the head unit illum. The hvac illum is fine.

    Just finished and it all worked great ! For me the Blue-White wire for powering the amp was not connected in the opposite white plug. The blue wire ( antenna power ) left over must be powered with the orangeblack ( fused JoYing ) wire to activate the amp. Added the Joying remote and made it fit in the cup holder. Thanks for making the great video !

    • @manthis22
      @manthis22 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm totally confused. I bought ALL of the same harnesses and radio, etc. He recorded himself soldering the solid blue wire to the short wire that has the "BRAKE" flag on it, but wrote to solder the solid blue to the orange/black wire WHICH I DON'T HAVE. Can you clear this up for me please?

    • @4nuts4449
      @4nuts4449 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@manthis22 the orange-black is the wire with the glas fused out of theJoYing. That's the amp out wire to acitivate the Amplifier. In my white connector there is a blue-white wire but @ the other plug there was no wire. I find out that I need to use the bleu wire instead. when I powered that onde the Amplifier will work.

    I was just pondering if I should consider a unit similar to this if I should invest the money in a tablet or a double din oh, but it's interesting you mention something about 20-plus years old archaic? Then it dawned on me with hearing about some of the issues people are having with units even Pioneers that last 2 years? But that archaic piece that's 20 plus years old in my C5 still works great? With the Bose amplifiers and Bose speakers one of the best sounding stock systems installed in a vehicle actually, even the CD player still works great although the CD changer also works when you are parked at a park or something or you just want some tunes in your shop you turn on this bode system and it is plenty
    good? And reliable..., when I go drive my convertible 6MT, millennial yellow C5... it's really about the vehicle being able to go 165 miles per hour, and Corner better than anything in this generation hell this is the car that won LeMans and dominated for several years many years after... so that poses one question which stock car on this entire planet could do 165 plus win LeMans handle in such fashion in yet pose have a incredible sound system that actually lasted 20 plus years and is still going strong? Anybody?
    put some VH on.. A little “dancing in the street“
    On CD.. it's impossible to duplicate that sound...
    I don't know I may consider a tablet mount with a Bluetooth just to have the navigation and some of the apps rolling at the same time integrated with the original head unit.. which still works awesome.. even after two decades.

But yet in your video you wired it wrong to the blue and white? And yet you stayed during the video that it was an update to wire it to the black and white. Doesn’t make much sense for you to show us wearing it wrong while saying the update you’re wiring to the different blue and white yet you still wear yours to the blue and white? Not trying to criticize I’m just trying to get a clarification.

    Somebody please strangle the guy who came up with the "unboxing video". Seriously, I already know how to take stuff outta boxes. What I'm NOT clear on is a simple solution to replacing the obsolete CD format with either a bluetooth or preferably an auxiliary input without killing my sound by throwing the Bose crossovers out of whack. Anybody?? Otherwise, great video though. LOL
