Ha ha, the end was hilarious. Great cutting skills. I imagine that the kind of knife you have also makes a big difference! I tried this today with a very sharp long knife, but it wasn't as wide as yours, and I had a lot of trouble getting through the core of the cabbage.

I have lots of experience with people who actually know what they are doing.Top chef kinda people, and my trade involve me being an expert with the blade. What really stands out to me with this video is the emphasis on safety; I can dig that! I seek danger on my free time, for fun. I tell people safety is my primary concern, and they laugh. I don't blame them, I'm a funny guy. But, other than making an outstanding product, I am safety conscience in the process. You're video rocks.

When you do your first cut, put the core to the bottom. This is because the upper leaves are easier to cut than the core. The blade of the knife is then supported on either side when you put pressure on it, once it has penetrated. If you push down with the tough core at the top, the cabbage is more likely to roll out from under the blade and cause an accident.
For me I cut around the core and take two or three leave, roll them like a cigar the cut them. They end up being manageable long to medium slices that way
If someone came in My video like that I would’ve been pissed and stopped the video and yelled at them for destroying my video because I don’t know how to edit , thank you for being patient your a nice lady
Don't forget to fill in a risk assessment form and get insurance, wear PPE and hiviz jacket, wear steel toe boots and eye protection as cutting a cabbage is highly, highly hazardous 😁❤️
