I have a 2021 model. It handles very well even in strong crosswinds better than two-wheel bikes and goes around corners as if it is on rails. It is comfortable to ride over long distances. I have cured most of the helmet buffeting with a deflector fitted to the top of the screen. I am now 86 and have lost a lot of upper body strength that I used to have. Having the stand-alone allows me to push the bike around in the garage without the risk of it falling. I would recommend this bike to any person who is getting older and who is finding a two-wheel bike a bit of a handful. With the stand-alone function, it is easy to manage without the fear of dropping it although it weighs around 240kg. One of the great advantages is the centre stand. With the stand-alone active roll onto the centre stand the bike becomes extremely stable. Rolling the bike off the centre stand the bike stays upright with no fear of it tipping over. This is the Tricity advantage. A big comfortable manageable bike for the older rider, with enough getup and go to satisfy most scenic riders. Most of us grey nomads have been through the plastic bullet stage.
Just came back from a long trip with my 2023 tricity 300. Drove form Norway through Denmark, Germany, Austria, Italy, Switzerland and the Czech Republic. The tricity worked fantastic, also in the alps.
That's great. I should do something this exciting once in awhile. I envy you. It must have been so many great memories. Good that your TriCity did not let you down. Thanks for sharing!
I was driven mine about 6000km on 100 kph average speed and the fuel consumption is 3,3l/100km. And I really like it more how it handles comparing with the Piaggio mp3 500
Thanks for the reviews. I have been watching for a few days. I really like the Tricity 300. I have only had Yamaha's in the past. RD 50 RD 125 RD 350 mk1. Love the idea of the Tricity with a Car licence in the UK. I never got a bike licence.
A very good succinct review but it would have been very useful if you had covered moving it around for parking, reversing, putting in the garage etc. This particularly relevant with such a heavy machine. Thanks
Ive had mine less than a week and its tipped over twice, when i pull up at a junction wich has an uneven road or a sloping road it just went over and i couldnt stop it as its very heavy, any advice would be appreciated.
Hello, when you turn on the stability assist each time you come to a complete stop, then no. But you have to turn it on each and every time. It turns off automatically though.
There is a reviewer, here on YT, who said he went several miles with a flat front tire, without noticing it. Unfortunately, I can't remember who was that dude.
Most of the 3 wheel owners I've met are bike enthusiasts not cars, and like myself have a lot of riding experience. I don't see many car drivers swapping the tin can for any scooter. The 125 riders have L plates so maybe they can be ridden via a CBT, and bigger engines on car and full motorcycle licences.
There are countries where you can ride only 50 cc with car license. In my country the law to modify the road code, for allowing drivers to ride 125cc scooters, went through a 4 year painful ”pregnancy”. The last bump in its way to be adopted, was our president, nicknamed ”The Closet”, who first time, sent it back to parliament, and second time filed a complaint against it to Constitutional Court, claiming it is unconstitutional. The Court needed one additional month to reject the complaint, and since then The Closet has 20 days to promulgate it. After that, another gestation would follow, for the Government to put up the executive procedures, to legalize them, send them to Motorcycle schools, and finally, these schools would implement the 10 hour training stated by the law, for car drivers to obtain the certificate for riding the damn 125cc scooter, not manual transmission 125cc motorcycle. As the motorcycling schools rarely have 125cc scooters for learning, there would be more delays. So, the alternative to all this bureaucracy and hassle, or to shitty and expensive motorcycle schools, is this tricycle, which legally can be driven with car license. Who is in his/her right mind, after buying this, would pay an affordable fee to a motorcycle instructor, for few hours of training. Then, the owner continues the training, as any other responsible motorcyclist.
@@knitterfreiyoutube No, the exhaust is corroded, there's sand in the buddy seat, the plastic parts don't shine bright. Only the LCD display looks new. But I enjoy your videos and subscribed
I recommend to people who dont have the a2 licence to just buy a 125, much more practical, lighter, easier, cheaper at service and way cheaper in gas consumption, especially the forza 125
In Germany you have to take a driving school course for a 125 ccm engine in addition to your car driving license, which costs around 700 euros. If you drive at least 90% in the city, I agree with you. But who does that.
@@knitterfreiyoutubeForza 125ccm fine on all tracks. I own PCX and use it about 70% non city. No issues at all, only if u expect A/A2 power, which is not what scooters are meant for 😂

I now have 4,000 km and 3.0 liters consumption. 25% in the city 75% on the country road and on the "Autobahn" (yes, I ´m from germany)
500 has a lot more power

Thanks!
nice short review, i like the points you put up re; licenses & the buffeting at high speed. That new country road looked awesome to ride along too.
Thanks! 👍 And thanks for watching!

Do we need to put down our foot when we stop at the traffic lights?

how it is with traffic jam ?
thnx for the review
It is like other maxiscooters. The widest part is the handlebars. Overall is only 40 mm wider than its brother the XMax 300.
Can the Tricity be ridden when one of the front tyres flat?
Not sure, please ask at a dealer or repair shop.

where can I see or buy a tricity
At your Yamaha dealer.

Tricity 300 or MP3 300. What’s your favorite?
I would prefer the Tricity 300.
It's a shame here in Australia you can't ride these on your ca license. So dumb here at times.
If so could see a big take up on these tricity bikes
Shame you didn't use your usual hilly test track - would really have shown 3-wheel advantage!
I wish this would make it to the USA.....and would be sweet if they made a 500 and or a 750....😊
Nice Yamaha 🇺🇦 🇩🇪 🇪🇸 🇪🇺
Does it have reverse or do u use your legs?
No, it does not have a reverse.

What hapened with the exhaust? It is so corroded, for a 2022 few months old scooter.
I didn't notice.
This whole thing looks old, compared to a MP3

You should try to become a better rider. The motorcycles are not dangerous, but people riding them while not knowing how, are really dangerous.
