My wife wants a ring for our anniversary, i want the P6 and probably a micro freak 🤣 appreciate the tips because it’s probably going to be in my hands soon!
Cubic Zirconia is much cheaper than diamonds, looks the same ( as long as the CZ is high quality level ). And for gold, gold plated is much cheaper. 🙂 P6 and Microfreak together you'd have a lot of sound experimentation power.
if you press the sample pad while holding a step it will cycle between three different velocity levels, a nice quick way to get that velocity variation
Yeah that's a great tip! My only issue is I like to vary each one a little more to "humanize" it, so I stick with the one at a time. It's definitely a decent workaround, I'd just like to see that digitakt function of holding multiple ones at a time
I really like the idea of keeping the drums melody bass chops etc on different banks for mutes, ty. The best tip I can think of is: In order to maximize time space etc for the pads you can put a LOT of breaks on the same pad. Keep the breaks sped up, same bpm, and lower bit rate on the p6, combine them into one big sample then when you sample or import that big sample onto one pad it can be chopped into individual chops. This has to be fine tuned ofc but can really be beneficial for saving space. Also if you use the pause sampling you can fit a ton of chopped breaks into on pad pre-chopped
Yeah, that organization has really helped me with beat performances since I'm not a fan of switching patterns on here. That's a great tip for sure! The multisampling is a great way to get multiple sounds on a single pad. I only discovered this recently on a livestream, but you can actually enable Poly playback on chop and multichop pads. So you can do kick snare hat etc on a single pad!
hi help me understand how to record into a pad not the entire track and the microphone, but only the microphone... while still allowing other pads to play
I'm not sure if the P-6 can do that. On the SP404 (another roland sampler) you can switch the record to either "Mix" or ExtIn, switching to external in means only what's coming through the input will get recorded. I haven't checked the P-6's menu for that yet but will take a look when I can
thank you this is very important for work... I will wait... technically this is the simplest task... just understand where in the menu to turn it on. thank you...
I wish Roland would add it, maybe someday. For now though I suppose you could make granular one shots using a plugin or something and resample into the SP and use chromatic mode
help people... I want to record 1 pad. and it records the whole track (((... I want to listen to all the pads but record 1. ... and it records all the pads and over the mic. ((( I only need 1 mic on 1 pad..... but at the same time I need to hear the pads. without recording... like a looper...
You can mute the mic when sampling in by pressing delete. Unfortunately the rest you’re describing is more like a looper and not something the p-6 can do. If you are resampling, it will sample every pad playing. You’d have to mute every pad but the one you want to record

Perfectly balanced 🤣

Great video ! Such a shame the granular button for step editing does not remember the last change parameter :( ...
Yeah, definitely a bummer :(
I couldn't imagine how fine it will be used with an external MIDI Keyboard 😅
I still haven’t had the chance to try it with a keyboard but I’d imagine it’s a pretty good way to play on it

I want momentary effects
What do you mean by momentary effects? You can punch in fx with the buttons on the top left but you have to push on and off
@sunwarper yeah sorry bro I didn't realise you hold pattern and press effect for momentary .great video subbed
Anyone know if you can get some granular with the sp404
