Good Job Kate Baby! From kelp cuttin', to skipper-approved burrito makin', possibly even skipper-enticing Tail Shakin'? ❤ What you 2 are doing is Truly •Special• Indeed. 🙏🦉⛵🌅
Great stuff. Someone must have already mentioned this, but in B.C. we loop the rope "stern tie" around the tree and back to the boat. That way we don't go back to shore before leaving. Also very handy if we have to leave in the middle of the night.
I suppose you folks are down near Puerto Montt I've been following you as best I can with the link you gave me. Personally I am heading to the Annapolis Boat show this upcoming week, so hopefully I won't be freezing up there. Its getting cold and there are a bunch of YT cruisers in Annapolis with their boats that didn't realize October gets bone chillingly cold on the water. I am taking my boxtruck conversion up there to stealth camp as every hotel experience I've had is atrocious. You three are still going I see in the cold soup, so I am glad to know you've not succumbed yet!! Eat more Burritos;)
Really liked this one. Nice, easy going with good commentary, easy listening music and beautiful scenery. Made coffee in my Sweet Ruca mug taste better. Would love to know when a live stream was going to take place so I could join. Yall keep having fun, stay warm and stay safe. Bill
Hello! I wanted to let you know that the Chilean Navy has issued a storm surge warning for the central and southern area of Chile. Since you are sailing within the channels I don't think it will affect you, but if you are thinking of going out to the ocean it would be better to inform yourself. Greetings!
All my sailing,(if you can call it that) was in hot dry weather and in the daylight. So, I was wondering, if cold wet sails have any challenges to them, specially in the dark when you can’t see the sails or how the tell-tales are holding?
The jib telltales surely stick and are pretty much useless much of the time! The more sailing you do, especially in a boat familiar to you, the less you need the telltales and the more you can sail by feel alone, which is really helpful in the dark.
probably a bad idea, but there are small (tall) tent structures that campers purchase to shower in or (?) ... could this be set up in the cockpit to change out of the foul weather gear? or possible a project to consider making with marine supplies a structure could also allow hanging up the gear and with a light bulb it could help dry it
No such thing as a bad idea! Sounds like a lot of work to set up and stow, but no reason why it couldn't work. Mostly we throw our wet gear under the dodger or hang it in the head with the hatch cracked.
If someone is looking to buy an expedition, high latitude, kind of sailboat, Ushuaia and Port Williams are good places to look for a boat? Any suggestions?
Thanks for sharing. With the two headsails on opposite sides.. is it called a bikini? Or maybe it is only called that with two spinnakers in the ior boats...
@@SailingSweetRuca This gives new opportunities to get more views... *lol* Please keep up your excellent work and style in these episodes it is really appreciated.

Enjoy the boat show!
Just beautiful. As the season changes at my location, it is time to watch your videos as a series to get the full experience. Thank you so much.
Enjoy the adventure!
Best sailing channel! I'm a little surprised you aren't doing a little fishing (when anchored) to augment your hot dog stores....
Great suggestion!
cheers, kids,
Cheers!

Love love love this video. The nature shots are awesome. It looks like a much-needed easy day for sailing
😀👍👍👍❤ Thank you both for posting another great video. Bye for now from Seattle, WA.
Hello Seattle! Cheers!
😍👏👏👏👏👏👏
:-)
You two seem to be suffering from a lack of sunshine 🌞 hope you get some soon
Our batteries feel the same way! :-) The sun will come out soon!
@@SailingSweetRuca you definitely deserve some
Down to the hotdogs ,, time for a port visit.. good thing hotdogs never go bad , kinda like twinkies .
Ha! No grocery stores in this neck of the woods :-)
Hello… Great videos and explanation about yours tracks……,what are the lengths of the green and gray stern mooring ropes? what is the diameter of them?
It was great to meet you in person. They are 100 meters in length and 19mm diameter (3/4").
Hey!
Curious... what kind of boom brake is that, and how would you rate it??
We will put this on our list to blog about as many people the same questions, and the answer is best with more detail.
Great thanks!

Limited selection there. I would look in Europe.

Could be! So maybe we did have our bikini on??? :-)

😃
Do you ever use headsets?
Good question. Haven't used em'. The boat isn't that big :-)
We just use two handheld VHF's for undertakings like anchoring.
Sound???
??? Seems to be working on our end, but we will double check.
Patagonia is NOT the last true wilderness - that is BS! You have to go to Siberia to find it, there is plenty of it.
Maybe some day we can sail there!
Every time I try splitting hairs, I get a headache.
How do you transmit the live stream? Do you have starlink?
