  • Finally a nice day to work outside on the tractor! Putting the finishing touches on the engine before we start on the wiring harness.

I ditched those old copper supply lines and installed new brass fittings and push-on 3/8 fuel hose. I had taken those copper lines off and they were bent and in bad shape. I was about to spend money on new copper lines and have to bend them to fit etc when I switched my plan. I also thought I may have had a suction side leak that I wanted to eliminate. So I set aside the factory fuel filter assembly in favor of a spin-on filter base that I bought on Amazon. I think it's made by WIX and it takes spin on Baldwin (and other filters). Once I get things running better, I'll double the filter bases so I'll have a primary and secondary. For now, one high-efficency filter is enough. I also installed a ball valve near the filter too which I find easier than going to the other side of the tractor to open/close fuel from the tank. Your tractor looks really good and keeping things original is something I admire but I decided to go another route on the fuel routing. All the Best wishes for your old tractor.

I saw that you added the aftermarket filter and hoses. Mine wasn't in really bad shape so I stuck with copper. If I have much trouble though, I'm not afraid to switch to better lines, we'll see.
