I would like to try that arrow spring brace. The one you said that's on Amazon. I have the gauntlet brace from. My doctor is too big and bulky and it seems to prevent me from walking a certain way
delphagriffin1094, yes it is a bad idea to use a treadmill for anything more than walking if you have this problem because it will just make it worse. You should do everything to focus on curing the problem and healing, not making it worse.
I want to avoid foot fusion surgery unless I cannot walk at all then I may have to do it. I was looking for options to avoid surgery. I was a ballerina and I think that wearing toe shoes and dancing contributed to my mid foot arthritis. I have good days and bad days, my orthopaedic surgeon told me not to do cortisone as it doesn't last. Wearing a shoe with a more open top shoe that is flexible has helped me the most. Hard shoes do not help me they cause so much more pain. Your video is contradictory to what works for me personally.
kater8730, I knew that ballerinas had to get this problem. I have found most comfort in sandals loosely strapped over the top at the base of the toe and at the ankle. But this is no permanent cure. We all need to find a permanent cure because this problem can be very debilitating. Your foot can get very swollen wearing shoes with the swelling taking a week or more to come down. It's a nightmare. If you can stay in contact and share any cures you find that would be great.
karnitanewton7870, you said you had surgery but you did not tell us the most important thing, did it help and were you able to use your foot again in stressful ways -- playing tennis, soccer, hiking, biking, jogging, basketball etc.
Great information!
Thanks
