I can 100% relate with you!💞 Your dedication to knowledge and implementation in the realm of health will only serve you well. Everyone is on their own journey with it though. At some point, you'll be the example and inspiration that your family member or friend needs. Until then, continue following your inner knowing, prioritizing health over convenience, and be proud of yourself for supporting yourself, instead of the corrupt food & drug system, as Dr. Hyman describes it. I was one of Vani Hari's petition signers! I am 85, so I don't eat Froot Loops, but I have grandchildren and a great grandchild and I love them all to the Moon. And Vani has been my hero for many years. Well, they delivered, sending in advance an announcement of their arrival at Kelloggs, and Kelloggs WOULD NOT MEET with them, would not welcome helpful conversation and thousands of signatures in our country's healthful feeding of our precious kids' futures. Care and action vs making more income no matter was the true cost. Sign me Nana.

Wow! I’m glad this is being discussed more and more lately. I’ve been so skeptical of doctors and medicine for so many years since my daughter was little and was having some stomach issues and the pediatric GI prescribed her a medication that had just launched-Idk why, but I call it divine intervention bc before this it had never occurred to me to question what a doctor says- I came home that day and began doing research on this medicine and found out that they had not even done research in side effects so they were still looking to find patients to test it 🤯 I said HELL no, my daughter is not going to be your guinea pig.

I have an autoimmune disease but I think it really saved me and taught me a lot. Having celiac disease has really opened my eyes to a lot and I’m healthier and fitter now at 31 than 21. My whole family eats very healthy compared to the average since I control the food that comes into the house as a wife and mom. I’m teaching my older two boys how to start cooking and the basics of healthy meals. They’re learning about carbs, fats and proteins and they also watch me lift weights. I hope they get involved in that also!!

It really is about educating. Starting young. Maybe in the classroom. I grew up with always having a salad and 2-3 veggies with a meat at dinner. We were also active. We had a huge garden . My mom would do canning. In the early 80’s I studied dietetics for a year and a half in college. Betw going to slaughterhouses, films and learning the chemistry of food you find out quickly about how harmful some food/drink can be. Didn’t eat hotdogs for 2 yrs at a time when we all were eating them a lot. I didn’t care what anyone thought I wasn’t going to eat them. Today I will eat one every once in awhile. Everything in moderation. There’s nothing wrong with indulging here and there as long as you are overall eating well. Education/Mindset/Habits

We are in charge of ourselves is how I started treating this a few years ago, and I am former medical as a doctor, and I hated the system, especially in America. I studied abroad in Europe, where they taught us the right things, including nutrition, versus American medical schools, who do not have a class for nutrition, which is the number one thing that leads to most diseases 😂

If it were up to me I would implement a grading system where depending on the level of processing of a food it gets a better grade, for example a beef or an apple gets an A but Doritos and Reese's Cup get an F. It would be something so simple at the consumer level to be able to make choices that weed out processed food and make easy informed decisions. Just a simple letter grade like restaurants get.

Not every country would go to war for their kids… I grew up on the same processed garbage in Canada as a kid. The consequences were unimaginable.
Despite switching to a very clean diet, I had several years of hell fighting some serious infections that took over my immune system weakened by this garbage food.
I’m glad to say I’m finally getting to the other side of it now. But I was so sick at one point it could’ve killed me and the suicide rates are high for people battling chronic fatigue resulting from these infections.

because they are trained to give a med for a symptom.I'm a nurse, we're trained to save a life but not prevent them from getting to that place.....it's sad, scary and yes....from tongue pain as a child (which was B12 deficiencies, and mold issues), to horrible menstrual cramps (also from mold and anemia), ptsd from abuse but no one fought for me, so, that.....and that all makes the nervous system 'tense' then you have hyper....tension. It's a HOT mess. HOT HOT mess.

Great discussion, Lewis and Mark touched a number of good points.
The food industry, and its commercialization, is indeed part of the problem, but I think that we need to dig deeper to understand the many reasons why some people do not strive for a higher standard when it comes to self-care.
Of course, it does not help that Primary Doctors do not include nutritional recommendations as part of their routines, but certainly we need to have more open discussions to find out what potential triggers could incentivize discipline and self-determination so that people can stick to a healthy diet and daily exercise routine.
Also, Mark did mention that the Food Industry uses as a “talking point” the act of “Moderation” when it comes to eating, it is a valid point, but eating with moderation and watching food portions can make a positive contribution and can be a good start for many.
I did like the recommendation to make home “a safe zone”, that for sure helps.

    "Rice And Water"
I shall be a being content with absence.
    For,
    relating to that of consumption,
    I shall be content,
if only rice and water existed as my sustenance.
    If within said rice,
    there existed no flavor.
    Within that of water,
    one's thirst was never quenched.
    If,
    I knew not of light,
    and,
exist tethered to all consuming darkness.
    Still,
    sense I exist,
    I shall be content.
    Content,
    not to seek.
Not to deem oneself apart of a "We".
    To be,
    the story.
    To be,
    more every morning.
    I shall be content,
    with being boring.
    Know yourself.
Know deeply what are to accept.
Know deeply what one's mind shall ingest.
    Seek completeness.
    Seek such that,
    your simplicity,
that which exist as one's internal energy,
    becomes content,
    with being.
    I shall seek such.
Shall forever endeavor to be such a being.
    Shall attempt only,
to find that which one truly needs.
That which allows one to exist as a,
    human being.
I shall create the simplicity of equanimity.
    A tranquil existence,
which I shall forever be tethered.
    For,
    I shall be content,
    whilst I exist tethered to,
    absence.

Can I make a recommendation?? You must add to your diet a daily detox lite to remove the heavy metals that are in our foods, even healthy organic foods. They are hiding in our water, air, personal care products and more. I work with the creator of the very best and only clean (33 spins and recharged) detoxifier on the plant. Ask me how I can share this! Love you guys!! ❤❤❤❤ROCK ON

Our company has created a partnership with a foundation that produces nutrients needed by the region suffering from malnutrition. Much of what they usually receive are things that have long expiration dates and that require no refrigerator or no cooking. It is terrible to see kids with the 2 litters of cola.
The foundation have created an energy bar that have been make specially for those kids needs ☯️💟🕉️

Aldi....they are cheap and removing most items that are not organic or that have unnatural dyes or fillers, I get my meat at a Mennonite butcher free ranged, and a 50# meat bundle cost 120$ I find eating healthy cheaper honestly. 😊
