Sur-Ron X Swing Arm Nut Conversion for Belt Removal (No Special Tools Required)

- After breaking the belt on my Sur-Ron, I realized that finding the 22mm specialty clutch socket for the Sur-Ron's swingarm nut wasn't going to be quick or easy. Instead of buying an expensive socket from overseas, I simply used a pair of vice grips to remove it. Once I had it off, I found that the bolt was a Metric 10x1.0. This made finding a conventional hex nut fairly easy.
A quick trip up to Lowes and I scored a two-pack of nuts that I can now use a 17mm socket on.

Thank you!
THANKYOU IVE NEVER BEEN ABLE TO TIGHTEN MINE I JUST WENT TO LOWES AND GOT THE BOLT AND ITS PERFECT
Glad it helped! I find I have to tighten mine after a few hard rides, but it’s still working fine.
Did the same to mine when I did the primary chain convert, makes it much easier to remove swingarm.
I have the chain conversion on order. Hopefully, it will get here in the next week or so. I had to order it from overseas as no one in the states has the kit in stock.
Thanks for this, I just know I'm going to have this problem so getting ahead of it
Happy to help.
Thanks
Anyone know what the rear suspension nuts are ?
