So about 2 weeks ago, i bought 3 really beat up star wars vehicles, X-wing, Snow speeder, and AT-ST to fix them up, ive fallen in love with the Kenner Star Wars line, but found the amount of information out there a little overwhelming, your videos have really helped me to get a starting point! Some very fun & useful tips from the community Joey. What a great round up. Always great to see a diverse group of knowledge being tapped. Eric's tip about joining loose cards & figures for display was a really unique one. Makes me wish I hadn't sold off all my doubles & loose card backs now. One tip I heard alluded to, but not directly said, was if you are collecting as an investment, to buy the very best version of that item that your budget will allow for. The best examples are the ones that appreciate the most consistently for sure.

Patience is a good one, i once bought something and the seller told me he had more, had to wait for one year and then he found it, mostly the last 17 figures in super condition!

Haha well i had the toys my parents bought me back in the early 80s. So in that respect my parents were the collectors since they bought them?? But I didn’t start buying figures to collect until about 1996 when I started working and I could buy some items. But back then they were incomplete loose figures here and there. Wow never knew what the silver thing was on Yoda's belt. I assumed after the prequels that it was his lightsaber. Learn something new all the time about SW. Other toy lines back in the day didn't have this level of detail and attention. SW was decades ahead of its time and is timeless.

The tip about buying lots is one I can second.
When I started collecting over 20 years ago. I did this to get figures I needed and sell off what I didn't need to pay for the one I did need or to reinvest in what I still needed. I did mange to get lots of blasters and accessories as well this way.
It is harder to do this now days tho to find this lots.

Thanks for the video, real helpful…. Been collecting for about a month, already have a few complete loose characters(16 actually) and a boxed rotj imperial stormtrooper! Iv definitely been guilty of panick buying and iv ended up overpaying on a few. Should have probably waited before buying the boxed figure but seems I did ok. Paid £116, the bubble is slightly yellow and the card is a little creased and out of shape, but I don’t see many on eBay and when I do they’re at least double what I paid or even up to over a grand. I’m yet to learn exactly why some go for way more than others of same kind.
You give to much place to go héhé i will buy to much!!! I have the same Yoda!! Like new again, came from my deal of 100 vintage at 1750 héhé!
