Stan solo has coins in yak I believe
I simply love this video. It has everything I needed to complete my vintage figures. Thank you for doing all this research for your Palawan like me. It's truly appreciated. Augie
Thanks Augie!
The best summation of the Kenner line of SW figures from the vintage years. Great work as always.
Thank you my friend and thanks for watching!
Excellent on star wars figures and coins keep collecting and may the force be with you all star wars fans the force is strong with this one 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Thank you Mark!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial excellent video on star wars figures and coins

Love your new channel. :)
What a great reference video!
Thank you!
That Early Bird set originally, Luke with DT saber, Chewbacca's crossbow was green translucent, and R2-D2 had a real dark blue dome, Leia I think was mostly Dark Brown paint. Those later 8 SW figures, the Boba Fett offer 20 back is the regular debut card for them. Those first 20 backs are extremely rare, because mostly weren't out yet. Just like Bossk's debut 32A. Very, very rare on a 31A. You need an upgrade for your Luke X-Wing figure my friend 😂👌 Good job my Padawan 👍
This was a fun diagnosis to👀watch on all the vintage Star✨️Wars goodness...🤘🏼💯✔️
Thanks The Worst 🙌🏼! Happy thanksgiving 🦃
FANTASTIC video! Comprehensive and well edited. Great work!
Thanks Jerry! I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment
The microphone shouldn't be pointed towards Max Rebo, it should actually be pointed at Droopy McCool. Keyboardists don't need a microphone, but the horn does.
Thanks Joe, I think it looks better on max so I keep it with him.
This is the video I was looking for!
Hey Tydirium! I hope it serves you well!!! Thanks for watching my friend 🙌🏼
Great video. Definitely comprehensive
Glad it was helpful!
Great video. Thanks !!!
Thanks for watching Frank I'm glad you liked it :)
Great stuff!
Thanks Christopher!
great long video, my friend. nice work.
Thanks joe!
So interesting! I have all my star wars stuff stored in a box somewhere. Maybe unboxing them could be a video of its own?
Thx for a cool and informative video.
I would love to see that video! I love it when people find treasure like that
@@thepadawancollectorofficial Yeah, I might do it after the summer.
I have some cools stuff for sure!
I enjoyed the video of you showing us the figures without the cardbacks and what they are selling for.
Thanks Punisher, Im really glad you enjoyed it!
This will be interesting, just purchased a 26pc carded '77-'80 Starwars collection from the original owner, let's roll!!!
Wow!!! Outstanding lot!!
Great review Joey castanieto.
Thanks you Gar!
very well done video
Thank you and thanks for watching 🙌🏼
Verry interessant Checklist Joey. Missing 11 figures for me !
You are SOOO close man!!! Good luck on the hunt Pascal and thank you for watching, my friend!
Dankeschön für das tolle Video und beste grüße aus germany
Thank you for watching! I hope all is well in Germany!
I recently discovered your channel. Just wanted to say i really am enjoying your content . I been collecting for about 20 years now. I mostly collect newer figures, but i been getting back into the classic line. Im so kicking myself in the balls after watching this video. About 14 years ago me and my wife separated and i gave away a bunch of classic figures because i didn't feel like collecting them. Boy did i royally screw up because i had some of those POF ones and didn't think they were a big deal. I can't believe that barada was worth that much. I started to tear up when you said how much he was worth. I had a Stormtrooper luke, yak face, A wing pilot, and B wing pilot that i just gave away in a bag with other figures to my buddy. I also sold my pristine, fully complete kenner Death Star playset for $90.😢😢😢
Hey Lou! Welcome to the channel! I’m sorry life had to have you parting with your figures, but they are coming down in price - I am going to do an update video this year and will update the current price list . Thanks for watching my friend and MTFBWY
I wonder if they waited until the movies came out for ROTJ toys, because that would spoil parts of it if you had the toy first.
They waited to show the Ewoks and they blacked out two of them on the early ROTJ cards
I think you briefly mentioned it, but in Europe at least where I live, all the power of the force figures were published on trilogo cards. So, I don’t have any of the coins, which I don’t miss. Got a few yak faces and amanaman which same as you I remember I thought are not Star Wars figures, but sold with a Star Wars logo...so my parents bought them an I neglected them for some time...nice video, though for me Star Wars is more what money can’t buy...my childhood memories:)
You are so right about memories that cant be replaced from your childhood! Thats why these toys and the original trilogy movies will be so spacial - thanks for taking the time to write and watch the video Pemechan!
Thank you so much for doing this Joey! With this video I was able to put a value on all my loose Kenner figs and get an idea how much the collection is worth. If I were to pass, I want my wife to have a ballpark figure of how much to sell it for without getting conned.
Hey Bill, I’m glad I was able to help! I will be doing this video at least twice a year, updating the prices, so check back around February and I’ll do another update :)
Thank you for this fantastic guide. Are the prices just for the figure or with shipping costs included?
The prices that I listed for the ones that I bought has shipping and taxes included (if it was applicable). The current prices are ones that it was sold for and didnt account for taxes and shipping - that would be dependent on where you live and your current local taxes.
Wow. Paying $100+ for a single figure is obnoxious. I'm glad for customizers like Stan Solo et al. making comparable quality / improved versions of most of these wallet cleaners for $50 or less. Especially with new collectors driving these prices up year after year, other options are inevitable and very welcome. Thank you for the overview and info!
Yes collecting these gets to be a pricey endeavor, so I’m glad you are able to work around that by using modern figures. Thanks for watching my friend!
The classic Kenner figures sure have their charm if you grew up in the 80s.. of course the new vintage collection looks better. Squid Head for example was one of my favorite figures, recently got the new one (in a 4-pack Hasbro exclusive), and the recent one sure is of another level. Still wish I had the ones from my childhood but as late teenager I lost interest and they got lost or got destroyed by my younger brother. Ree-Yees is also in that new 4-pack, he looks more badass now but also liked the more cute version of the 80s. But yeah, obviously the new figures look way more realistic, compare 80s Bib Fortuna with the new version for example. Barada was the first figure I bought as a kid, that one doesn't have a decent remake. Ah yes, the Rancor.. that was a good one.
Great take Danny, I agree the new figures have been made with better techniques, but gotta love where it all started.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial It's big time nostalgia.. they had many great action figures back then, also loved He-Man, Mask, GJ Joe. But Star Wars were the best. The modern remakes of He-Man and Gi Joe aren't interesting imo, but some of the new Star Wars figures are pretty cool.
Very nice episode. You know what I would like for you to research is how they mass-produced those paint jobs and show and detail how they paint the eyes and hair yes I haven't been able to find any of that on the internet.
I would love to research on that and do an episode on it
The paint jobs were so varied. I have three different versions of General Madine and four if Bespin Luke. Three if the AT AT commander, two of Bespin Leia and two of the snow trooper. My favourite variant is the Macau Logray with the olive green stripes.
Also keep in mind there were multiple factories being Hong Kong,Taiwan, Macau and mainland China. I think there was also a factory in Spain which made the Greedo variant with the extra paint on the eyes.
Any recommendations for sources for weapons and accessories for the original Star Wars figures? Either vintage or reproduction is fine. I just got ahold of a bunch of figures from my childhood but all are missing their accessories. Thanks!
The Imperial commissary on Facebook is a great place to look for authentic accessories. So is orange Droid, Rogue 5 Toys, and Vintage Alliance. Those all deal in authentic and not reproduction.
Do you get your pricing off star wars tracker? Have you used galactic collector before? Thanks for all you do.
I get most of the price info from Star Wars tracker along with some facebook sites :). Thanks for watching my friend 🙌🏼
1978 I did bought Darth Vader double tooth light Saber and Obi wan with white haired and storm trooper both on ebay with card and swaptmeet I bought Chewbacca and C3PO and will continue to get the rest thanks for your video and prices too.
Great pickups Michael! Thanks for watching the videos my friend, I’m honored you can check them out :)
@@thepadawancollectorofficial I did meet Dave Prowse and Mark Hamil at San Diego Con and got both their autographs and won a star wars figurine one of the five winners won General Grieveous of Iron Studio at a panel of retail
@@thepadawancollectorofficial I'm a true star wars fan forever since 1977 at 7 years old
Your Wally looks like he has blue instead of blue/black 😮
Yes you are right, I have to change that out
My collecting passion is baseball cards, but if it weren't for that, I'd likely be doing vintage Star Wars - like so many, had them all back in the day.
Question - you refer to some as the "Hong Kong" version - I assume that means they were manufactured in Hong Kong, but what are the other options?
Hey Mark! There were a multitude of manufacturing plants that Kenner and Palitoy used. Most of these were in Asia, like Hong Kong. These parts would be made and sent back to assembly plants for boxing and distribution. I hope that answers your question.
Time to get my shoe box of figures out of storage
Do it!!!! Thanks for watching Rob 🙌🏼
I swear I've seen somebody at some point holster the rifle on the back of the Leia/Boussh figure. I want to say the butt or handle ( don't know gun terms, sorry) will somehow wedge between two things on her backpack and the rifle will hold there if you push it secure.
Maybe @thatjunkman was where I saw it done?
Yes I think Junkman did show it in a video you are right. And no matter how many times people tell me how to do it, I always forget how to do it lol.
@@thepadawancollectorofficial haha cool. Great video BTW. Probably the most comprehensive listing of the vintage SW figures I've seen. Also you have a great collection.
I still have my Kenner Early Bird set of action figures..how much for the set?
That’s a grail piece! You can always post pictures up on my Facebook group called The Padawan Academy. If you have all of the trays, paper work, and the cardboard background with the pegs, the Kenner baggies, and it’s in pristine condition it’s worth thousands. If it’s just the figures, depending on how good they are it can be a couple hundred. If the figures are in ok or rough shape and don’t have their original accessories, you are looking at maybe 30 bucks for all of them
Wasn’t there a classic Tarkin figure? I’m sure I saw one recently?!
Hasbro released one that came with a Star Wars board game but it’s a modern era figure and not from the original Kenner releases
Thanks for doing the list.
The figures from your childhood collection look still look pretty good.
Snowtrooper? Very impressive. :)
Anakin was on the ROTJ (tri logo card) very briefly thus taking it down to the last 14 figures, but I still say the last 17. :)
And I gotta bring this up ..
R2 is male, why couldn't EV-99 be female??
EV-99 reminds me of an authoritarian nun. Look at those buns! (HAIR buns!) :) haha. Sorry, I had to. :)
Thanks for the video
Thanks T, you can call anything male or female, I was really trolling you guys :)
@@thepadawancollectorofficial
:) EV-99 deos look like a nun, though, right? :)
Or an evil librarian?
I’m confused on the zuckuss and 4LOM figure I swear they switched them up cause zuckuss wasn’t a droid he was a Gand I wonder why they mixed the 2 up
I know that the first to call them the reverse names was a role playing game in the late 70s, but both thst and the action figures were approved by LFL and 20th Century Fox
@@thepadawancollectorofficial oh wow I learned something new today, I was just so confused I even looked up their names to be 100% sure and I was so I was like hmmm I wonder if they switched up the names accidentally or what happened to have that mix up occur
Just want to be sure... All the values/prices you're indicating are in U.S. dollars?
Yes everything is in US Dollars and all are averages from data points.
im sure
🙌🏼
💪😎
💪🏽🤓
Do you collect the Black Series?
I do! Mostly anything Ahsoka and Sith.
American prices seem really high. UK is way cheaper
I need to go to the UK then!!!
@@thepadawancollectorofficial nice list I agree with 90%. Cloud car pilots are so cool tho
looks like you got into some serious Covid collecting
Indeed 🙌🏼
I hope in the future you don't do AI generated volgs
Hey DMR! I don’t plan to.
@thepadawancollectorofficial I agree with you that they should stop calling EV9 a female Droid it's a droid. Just like they should stop saying a man with a penis is a woman. Just stop . I love your videos you're one of the best on the Kenner Star Wars action figures. Keep up the good work Joey
You mentioned wanting to see pics of any carded Luke in Stormtrooper. I have one, but I'm not on FB. Can you give me an email to send it to?
Absolutely! ThePadawanCollector@gmail.com
