Recently picked up my childhood toys from my parents’ and decided to finish my run of 77. Not going for POTF, and now I’m also looking at paint runs and loose limbs thinking “should I upgrade?” Was supposed to be an easy and inexpensive project. 😂 Enjoying the videos, even if I’m late to the party.

I have been a TVC guy for a while but your series has been influential in rekindling my love for Kenner Star Wars from my childhood of the 70s and 80s - I am 54 now. Going on a vintage Kenner hunt this weekend in OKC myself (I am from Texas) but have family up there. Thank you my friend!

@@thepadawancollectorofficial Good hunt today Toy Base 10 - picked up Rebel Commando, Bespin Han, Hoth Leia and Hoth Luke. The owner let me dig thru a box of Kenner figs in his office to find 3 of those. All had original blasters except for Leia. Your tips on Imperial Gunnery helped me figure that out in the store! She was only $20 so I was fine with the repro - I will get an original eventually from ICCC.

New to your channel and loving the journey so far mate. Its something I should of done years ago when I had quite abit as a kid. I think Im too scared to get into it now although I do collect the odd one, mainly the characters I love the most plus some of the new retro figures which I think are great. Space and funds are the killer, so I focus mainly on the OG trilogy and collect sixth scale and the odd statue. Look forward to watching the rest of your videos.

Yeah I'm loving the series I've been trying to get a lot of Kenner Star Wars action figures in the past three years before the pandemic luckily. One way you can tell if a weapon is Repro or not is watch some videos on how to spot them and one way is if the weapons float it's most likely real and another way is check on eBay their ratings if they're 99.9 or 100% most likely it's real and always read the description and also if it's too good to be true then it probably is with the prices.
A fine part 5 - nice pick-ups too, those were some very good purchases, especially the Death Star Droid. Nice look at the facebook groups too, being on the wrong side of the ocean would mean most of those groups would be purely reference material, but we have quite a few decent British ones too, Echo Base being one off the top of my head...onwards to Part 6 🤘🇬🇧

Thats one of the best groups on Facebook and for me its the same, I see a lot for sale that I like on Echo, but most of the time I use it for reference material. I use many sites, but mainly rebelscum.com, the variant villain, the Jedi temple archives, and the imperial gunnery . I am also getting the reference book from Read Five Designs! Thanks for watching Ed!
The confusion with 4-LOM and Zuckuss is really funny. Even Kenner messed it up for a long time before it was corrected in a reference book by West End Games. Though, who's to say since only Boba Fett is mentioned by name, of all the bounty hunters, in the movies. Weequay's staff is really cool. Never have had one, but I'm tempted to get one just for the staff. Shipping of $5.99 is about right for an individual selling stuff. I personally haven't been able to ship a figure for less since I use hard sided cardboard boxes filled with bubble wrap and the figure in a baggie for less than $5.00. Now, if the seller uses envelopes, $5 is too high. If a seller ever sends you a figure in an envelope, don't buy from them again. Bad things happen to figures in envelopes. Death Star Droid is awesome! Hard to find him without any missing black paint for a good price. Found one with only a tiny bit of missing paint in an FB group. Has stiff joints too. The Lobot is super cool. Never had one. Nice job finding one loose with the guns. I've learned so much from the FB groups. Good conversation on them too. ICCC and ICCC2 were the first two Star Wars groups I joined on FB. I'm glad they added ICCC2 since it includes the newer lines. I haven't heard of Jabba's Court. May have to check it out. I'm a moderator on Star Wars Action Figures 1978 Til Now. I love that group because it includes everything Star Wars without any arguments over vintage vs modern and over whether people should be making their own stuff with 3D printing and molding as long as they specify that it isn't vintage. Some amazing fan-made stuff, such as the Jabba's Palace playset and the ship ladders out there.
The face book groups have been a saving grace, both to ask questions, and to buy figures from. I have made some really good friends there and I have trusted people I always asks opinions from on figures. The community there is amazing! Hey Johnny! Lucky for us collectors there are a ton of reference sites, books, and I have every accessory now, so I have references on hand to what an original is supposed to be. During i look your vidéos i dont do my displays!! Héhé I do the carbonite platform now, but with vintage figurines and Lobot! I pay all those in that vidéo 15$ can$, but it was in big buy of 100 figurines.
