@@trevyrgeronimo5020 it is more of an individual choice. Performance is about the same. For me, the 2020 SI gets greats gas mileage, I like the interior and having a turbo, etc. But the k24 is a beast of an engine if you plan on tuning it.
They do but not on this car yet. Si was never meant to be fast on the quarter mile. Its mainly for fun and track use. Yes a dual clutch would be faster at shifting but honda knows we like fun car with a manual. What they need to do is get rid of the rev hang for sure.
@@Stormtrooper-oc4vn yeah but this car will go extinct without an automatic option. The sales will not justify the creation of the car. Therefore the 8 speed from Acura dual clutch with a torque converter could make this appeal to many. Maybe a little bump in power.
@@Szcza04 only if they keep it in europe then it can live...for now on but it's not up to us if it lives or dies all we can hope is to offer it in both Manual and automatic. Both so far honda is sticking to tradition which is only manual for fun not speed.

Moving on to your point, if a Civic Si is for "college bros," then what do you think the target audience is for the KIA... er Sportage...?. Push the Sportage even slightly behind its intended use, and you'll quickly overwhelm the car and find its limits. There are performance bits and pieces that make affordable, fun-to-drive cars the way the drive and handle. Even if you would've said a competitor like a Forte GT, that would make more sense. I used to measure 0-60 until I drove cars like the GTI, Si, FRS, Miata, etc to appreciate the character these vehicles bring.
