I have the original one still NIB that I bought in early 1982.

I raced my friend's Infiniti g20(SR20 5spd) with my 00 Civic Lx 5spd. It was the longest race ever, lol. Felt like a fast n furious scene. Two slow cars taking forever to hit 90 mph. Great laugh. He got a turbo 240sx and I got a built STi but sometime it's good to race your beaters, lol.

Good comparison video Chris! I've never before seen a re-re with black bumpers. Also, I totally forgot about the one-way bearings that replaced the manual locking hubs from the earlier trucks. Also, I wasn't aware that the transmissions in the early trucks had brass gears and sliders. The re-re came with nylon gears while the HG-P407 has cast steel gears. I learn something new every time I watch one of these comparison videos. Thanks so much!!

Mine has 33,500 after 16 months. 37 mpg, 5 oil changes every 6k, OEM filter and 0w20 full syn oil. I have had ZERO problems. I will keep this car till I MUST buy electric. At that time I'll drop in an Electric Kit. ($10k) or sooner if gas prices get crazy.

Your one way bearings are on the wrong sides - like that, you will only have 4WD in reverse.

Good side-by side comparison. Yeah, Tamiya used one-way bearings on the front hubs of the original Bruisers; it was to compensate for having no differential. I put 2-ways on the front of my original Bruiser, and I twisted one end of the axle off. Luckily, when I got my Bruiser, it came with a parts truck, so I just replaced it, but I still use 2-way bearings on all 4 wheels, because just having just 2WD in reverse, sucks so badly.

Is your car idling close to 1000 rpm? Like 900 or so? This is what I can see at least. Did you set up the idle rpm? Because in my b16a2 the idle went to 900 up from 750 by itself after some time. Also, when I crank it when it's warmed (and only when warmed) , the rpm go to 1500, then drop to 900, then to 650, then back to 900 and stabilize. Is there something wrong? Thanks a lot in advance! Hi Chris I liked your honda carb review You left a question in it about adjustment of screws Close mixture screw clockwise Fully , but don't tighten it too hard cauz it's brass . Now open counterclockwise at 1.5 circle. That's the original settings And tighten the speed screw after mixture screw is adjusted surely on cold engine , same procedure with speed screw , after closing monitor the start engine speed and stop opening till engine runs at slowest speed , but don't rattle or shuts off. That is the exact adjustment of speed screw. Don't worry about slow speed rpm at cold , as the engine heats up to running temperature the rpm will rise and enjoy .
