@ I got a copy from pdf coffee. It’s donkeys years old! There’s loads of interesting stuff in it I mainly use a “Fire Past” rule which allows less bulkier troops I.e. non terminators to fire over a friendly model in front of them. I use it with tactical marines even on overwatch, so you still get two shots but no jams! There’s another great rule that gives you free overwatch if two models end up back to back after moving . There’s loads more too.

Another really good episode, as always. It was a great one to watch, as it swung back and forth. I have never won this mission as the marines, so it was interesting to watch the tactics going on. Was sending one terminator away from the exit to block a Genestealer entry point a good idea? I understand why, but he is moving away from the exit. An amazing amount of sixes were rolled, especially at the start, it was ridiculous. I haven't seen a rule about LOS over a prone terminator, but on p24 of the Deathwatch rules it says that rubble does not block LOS, so I would think it is similar, and you were right. Just waiting for the next one now!
@@phildevey6302 Cheers for watching and sharing your thoughts with us! Yes, we actually played this mission through 6 times over to try to figure out tactics that might work - even just trying to move the starting two straight off the map without bothering trying to rouse their comrades but really nothing worked! We’d both been torn apart by reinforcements coming from that entry point several times over which is why I decided to secure it to see if it would make a difference. As mentioned, the problem is the fact that the Stealers have so many directions to come at you, it’s really tough to defend against. It’s kind of reassuring to hear that we aren’t the only ones struggling with this one! I’m hoping someone has a strategy they’ve found to crack it because I really can’t see it! Thanks for joining us again and for the kind words! ~ Gordon
I've tried all sorts of things, but as you said the Stealers come from all directions, and so many of them. I used to think that reviving just three marines (15 points), and then getting four out of five off the board (20 points) was the way to go, but it didn't work either. It's a tough one for sure. I just re-read the rules for the mission on p51 and it says at the end of the first paragraph on the right hand side " unconscious marines block movement through a square, but not line of sight". I must be blind to have missed it the first time.
@ That makes two of us then! 😂 Thank you for clarifying, I’m glad we did play it correctly! Space Hulk is great in the sense that there aren’t too many rules that trip us up but occasionally the odd one does pass us by! Yes, we also tried out only waking up the two in the middle rooms but again to no success! It does have me wondering how many Marines you’d need at the start to make a success of it. Maybe a full squad? ~ Gordon

Great game. I just finished and have been reading through the comments. I see the rules question has already been verified regarding the LoS not being blocked by a prone marine. This mission is so difficult for the marine player and as others have stated I too have tried several different strategies and over the many years I think I only won a handful of times and never due to a superior strategy but more due to sheer luck.
