Some of you might’ve read on Facebook (or on a forum) about using forscan to adjust your tire size to gain speed in the quarter mile. You’ll still hit a speed limiter but this will help you get into the 12’s in the stock tune. Recommend switching it back after racing to keep your mileage accurate.
In addition to this, you’ll need to determine the circumference target size. This will be in mm. Recommend using an online tire size calculator.
In my case:
Stock was 2440mm
Changed to 2355mm
Went from 13.06 to 12.90! - ยานยนต์และพาหนะ
Thanks for putting up this video, my winter tires are about 5% smaller circumference than my stocks, so I used FORScan as you say in the video and it worked great. I did have to 'relearn' the PCM module after the change to avoid any DTC codes. I didn't wait for the wrench icon to come up, I went into FORScan and erased them before I drove the truck after the change. I noticed your stock circumference was 2440 mm, did your truck come with 265/70 R17s? That's the value I changed my truck to for my winter tires. For other users, my 2023 F-150 S/Crew XLT has stock 275/60 R20s and the tire circumference was set at 2547 mm. Have fun, this is a really easy thing to do. Next I'm going to delete that annoying double horn honk when the FOB is removed from the truck while running.
Awesome video sir! Can you remove speed limiter with Forscan?
No sir, you’ll need custom ECU programming for that.
Did your get any faults after doing this change? Heard of people having to perform a PCM relearn after making the change.
I had no issues with mine.
Thank you 👍🏼
Yes I had to relearn the PCM module. It kicked a couple of ABS Module codes when I did the change.
@@robburns3117 how did you get the abs codes sorted? Got c0078 abs code after changing the tire circumference
