I actually found them through you so I'm super happy you gave them another go!!! Edit: I say the Taiwan Mermaid one in bloom at one point when I was there and it's absolutely gorgeous!!!!

Great haul Dani! I have a mounted cattleya from Jairak in exactly that black plastic pot and I discovered that the inside flat part detaches from the outside frame. Just remove all the wires and you can push it right out. Then I just dropped the flat plastic (which was completely covered in roots) into a pot with bark, moss etc.
if you have the patience you can save the Rhyn... roots by cutting the pot away from them, yes a bit awkward because the plastic can be tough but wire cutters have short blades and lots of leverage PS, I've watch quite a few of your videos and am thinking about giving orchids another try, I too live in a place with hot dry desert summers, so will try your sphagnum moss technique if I do

I loove long unboxing videos so much! All the plants are so beautiful and looking awesome after 2 weeks in transport. Yeah… This “drain” like mount could take 2 hours to cut and unmount the orchid, and it is so sturdy and peaces are flying all over the room. I got my Rlc Jairak Finch from Currlin as well. It looks a lot like the Yellow bird flowerwise /they share a parent/ but as the flower ages the pink gets paler and paler and at the end it is almost creamy white. But I love him never the less. I really enjoyed these 30 minutes!

Hi nice video. I like schwerter to. 80% of my orchids are from there. I got a Phalaenopsis Rheingold x Pallens this year to. It is very fast-growing and flowers for a very long time. She is currently doing her third leaf with me and has been flowering continuously for about 2 months
I recently visited Currlin Orchids and also got a Mini Mark there 😆 Such a beautiful orchid I’m happy with it and it’s doing well! I hope yours will stay healthy too 😌
I live in an arid subtropical climate. I also have av dry summer 8 months out of the year. I've gotten over 4 inches of rain in the past 3 months but that moisture will end in March or April

I actually have a few of these (Star of Siam and Siam Best White) and they are such lovely plants....still waiting for them to flower I see that you received one that is mounted in coconut husk. I live in Thailand and all of my orchids have arrived like this and have had to remove it before planting them. Would you be able to make a video of how you remove the coconut husk 🙏🙏🙏 I would love to know if I have been doing it correctly. Everyone seems to be doing ok since they’ve been removed from the coconut husk so far.

I recently ordered from Schwerter within Germany and they didn‘t pack it with plastic bags around the roots - I guess because shipping takes just a day or two. They aren’t doing it unless necessary, so they still try to reduce waste, it seems - I do believe that you got special packaging appropriately estimating your prolonged shipping time and temperatures!
I just bought a catleya that is peachy orange. I am hoping that it is fragrant I forget. The name is: Ric Ruth Davis x Ric Mem bob crowder 'Orchidlady'. I also have the pulcherrima var marmorata that has a flower spike on the way. The mini mark I bought orginially was in really bad shape but grew a keiki that I was just able to remove and pot. I bought another one that was a bit more healthier. I will never order from this one seller again. I am jealous though. My hubby would kill me if I ordered such a large amount of orchids. I have to stop watching these videos because then I want more and more lol Not really, I could never stop watching your videos. I also just bought myself a Streptocarpus I think that is how you spell it, anyways the flowers on it are stunning. yeah this post is long lol
I normally take my orchids out of the outer pot to water them do I need to do that or can I just water them in both pots bc you do that but you don’t water them lot when you water yours or it don’t look like you do Dani I’m just not really sure what the best way to do that

how many of your orchids survive? maybe the company got sniffy cos they thought you were killing the plants they were sending? or maybe it got too expensive? to get a haul like that would make me worried about keeping them all alive and thriving. I love how glossy the leaves are, stunning.
Did the orchids come with a phythosanitary certificate saying it was free of pests and diseases to ship outside of Germany? I am wondering because I need one in order to pass customs inspections.
I’ve had great experiences with both Big Leaf Orchids and Orchids by Hausermann! Big Leaf has some stunning phalaenopsis varieties and Hausermann has a huge variety for some pretty good prices
Piggybacking this, I live in the Midwest which only has like traditional grocery store phals at most places but, I know in like the lower eastern US, if you go to stores like Trader Joe’s or Lowe’s I’ve heard of people finding some neat cattleyas, zygopetalums and such.
Where in the East are you? When I was living in VA, I know there were some growers in North Carolina (and if you happen to be around the VB area, McDonald nursery usually has some outstanding orchids. They don't ship though.)

Have you seen a darling orchid? Found one at my local home depo like a hardware/plant store outdoor stuff. But their orchids looked terrible broken and not watered but I did see a mini mini orchid called darling orchid it literally had blooms the size of a thumbprint which is crazy to me the leaves were very tiny also. If it looked like I could have saved it I would have tried but I am very new to growing like a couple weeks and already lost 2 due to rot from the store keeping them in very packed dripping wet moss I did find 2 that still had their little seeding pot on the root which is crazy cause they had at least 6-7 leaves.
Hi, they seem to be typical orchids under a commercial name, since there is no such thing as a 'darling' orchid. So care requirements should be the same as any other orchid within that species 😊

I love the Nakornchaisri Red! Bought one in flower recently, I love the striping inside the lip, and it has a lovely fragrance as well!

HAHAHA, lots of laughs when you try to pronounce the tags. Nakornchaisri was pronounced as na-korn-chai-see, one of the district in central Thailand.
