Just love your honest, educational, constructive analysis with genuine respect and appreciation for the artists ❤ Keep coming back to your reactions on Dan😊
I greet you, Daniel! I've really followed a lot of reactions to Dan's interpretations. I think there are a lot of parallels between you and Dan. No, not just the first name 😊 - I find your open and warm nature, your modesty, respect, your ability for self-irony/humor and your high standards of professionalism particularly endearing. I think you really appreciate Dan's art. I'm subscribing now and think you'll enjoy the cover of "Kiss from a Rose" (Seal) featuring Dan and Violet Orlandi, especially the harmonies. And by the way: “Put some Sugar on Me” shows Dan’s humor! Kind regards from Germany ❤️🤟❤️
Same here. I love both of them separately, for their own unique qualities. But when together, it seems disunited. Which is brilliant!! They kept to the integrity of the story plot. While it's not one of my favorites, it certainly is spectacular. Great analysis Daniel!!
Thank you for your honesty in not pretending it was your first time hearing the song. I really enjoy your reviews! One of my favorite things about Dan’s performance is his consistency across all his Phantom of the Opera performances in becoming the Phantom. Where you mention his performance of speaking as being too much - the “sing for me” I see him as being dark and controlling much as his performance in Music of the Night when he says “you belong to me”. He is personifying the creepiness of the character in the moments where the character is speaking his inner desires. It’s really quite excellent.
Daniel, your analysis is always enjoyable and informative. This was a great version, Dan and Dragica made a powerful duo!! It was a brilliant job✨️ Dan's performance was spectacular 🎭👏🏻. Thank you for sharing your great analysis ;)
Love that you finally did this one!! It's one of my favorite duets Dan does. If you haven't done his duet "Kiss By A Rose" with Violet Orlandi you need to. She has another amazing voice & she & Dan, I think, sound AMAZING together!!!! I love how he doesn't try to outsing his duet partner. I'm sure you've seen that happen in your career. You should check out a very different duet also. Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton doing "Islands In The Stream". Don't know how you feel about country music, but I think you'd enjoy this. They were very good friends & it shows in the performance. Still waiting for "Bring Me To Life".😊😊😊😊😊😊
I have never seen The Phantom of the Opera. I’m sure I’m the only one in the world.😁 But when my son was in Brooklyn University and took his degree in music composition he Sendt me every song, because he went to see that with his girlfriend. And I just loved the story I got through the songs. What a wonderful story it is. And you Sir teach me soooo much, so I can understand more about music. For that I’m grateful. ❤🇳🇴
Thank you for the extra work in re-recording this for us. I’m so grateful that you did! Wonderful analysis, as always! I learn something new from you each time I watch. Your reaction is always so much fun to watch too, even if it’s not your first time reaction. Can’t wait for your next one!🫶
Thank you! This is not one of my favorites, but I appreciate your analysis. Dan has done one more piece from Phantom. It is "All I Ask Of You" on Alina Lesnik Official. They also do "Beauty and the Beast" on Dan's channel.
Oh yes!! I get nuts when reactions say they don’t match, and make a point out of that. Because for me - that’s the whole point of the story. They don’t match- she is innocent-he is the darker guy. And just that’s why it is perfect. 👍 My old man always say I ruin songs he likes because I tell him the lyrics of the song. For him the music is nr 1. But for me the story the music is telling me is nr1 and the music for fill the story. Put feelings into the story. Difficult to put this in English, but I think you knows what I means. Love from Norway ❤
Like as always 😅😅 I do like watching you react to Dan and like your analysis 😉. It's always informative, and I like listening to your voice also. You have a lovely speaking voice and singing voice . Until next time.
Her voice is awesomely fantastic. That having been said, obviously, Dragica is not your granddads ingenue. In fact, she seems to be channeling her inner lily Munster. Dan has a gift for collaboration, among about 200 other things.
You need to hear Nicole Scherzinger sing it. Yes she’s the pop signer from pop group Pussy Cat Dolls. BUT most don’t know she’s classically trained and actually pretty good. There’s a video of her on TH-cam singing it with 4 of the Phantoms (at the same time) from the musical. It’s the video titled “Nicole Scherzinger - Phantom Of The Opera (Royal Variety Performance”).
Thank you for your fine analysis! They did a very good job. I like the version of Floor Jansen with Henk Poort little bit more, because Floor did here an excellent job in the last phrase of the song. What you said to be needed more growth, thats what Floor and Henk executed very good. But that have been said, Dan has a few more beautiful duets with womans, a Kiss from the rose, time to say goodbye, beauty and the beast…sooo good.. So, you have work to do I think 😂😂😂
Daniel, if you enjoyed Dragica so much, now I can't wait until you react to Violet Orlandi with Dan on Kiss from a Rose. Her voice is something of a unicorn and the arrangement is a masterpiece. P.s. You're right Dan should have gone full metal on the final part, but I think he was deliberately being very traditional and avoiding sounding like the Nightwish version, were Marco Hietala, a power metal singer like Dan and NW bassist sings the Phantom part in full metal mode the whole time.
I'm afraid I'm spoiled by Floor Jansen and Henk Port on this one. It's not about the singing but the massive expressiveness and connection between them. Pretty much everyone else seems a but flaccid by comparison.
Daniel, do you think it's possible to "mix" all of those tracks together (both vocals and the background) and that's why they don't sound "perfectly matched"? BTW, I always learn soo much from your analysis! Thanks!
I appreciate your honesty about not trying to "fake" a first reaction. And thanks for your analysis! ❤

Great analysis Daniel!!
Authenticity, that word fits. So different and yet sung beautifully together ❤❤
Glad you didn't let the technical problems get in the way. Great analysis!

Sad that the data was corrupt. It happens and we move on. Thanks for rerecording the analysis. I gain new insights with every reaction.

Thank you for the analysis. Thank you for not being too snobbish too. That’s so irritating.

Dragica is Serbian. Enjoyed your analysis, as always.

She didn't hit the final note
are you a baritone or a bass?
My voice type is baritone =)
