You have quickly become my favorite reactor, especially to Dan. The combination of your expertise and your appreciation of his art is so enjoyable to experience. Please continue to react to Dan’s vast catalogue!
Sir, you are so special. I just love all your reactions. I love how you lives every songs and your comments and the way you teach us the mysteries in every song.
I just love every bit of your work.
Love from Norway ❤🇳🇴
Dan is totally amazing and I love your very knowledgeable reaction. Thank you! 🥰
I really enjoy your reactions and analysis. It is fun to have an experienced singer tell us about the song and performance.
Another excellent reaction and analysis from you to a cover by Dan.
You listen to songs, whether here on TH-cam or on the radio and TV. But only with such detailed information can you think about the work that goes into it. Dan's creativity is limitless.
It should be mentioned that Dan only sang this song as a cover acoustically. Very nice version.....
Love your reactions and joy at watching Dan’s performance.
Your reaction and all your explanations are so precious! Dan's music is life-changing to many people. The power he radiates jumps over to the audience.
Loved your reaction & analysis. I remember someone once asking Ken Lavigne what term was used for Dan's ascending scream, and Ken had a couple of descriptive terms that weren't exactly to his liking. He finally settled on something like "That's just Dan doing Dan stuff." Lol.
The original version of this song is from the game rather than the Netflix series and is called "The Wolven Storm," but is often referred to as "Priscilla's Song" because it's sung by the bardess Priscilla. It's sung from the point of view of The Witcher (Geralt) about his forbidden, bittersweet love with the Mage (Yennifer). You can find that scene on TH-cam to compare it if you'd like. Dan took a medieval folk style bard song sung by a female playing a lute and successfully converted it into a male, metal version. He also made another more traditional version later by popular demand. Both are great for different reasons.
Love your insight into and appreciation for Dan's creative work. Thanks 😊
I eagerly watched Ken Lavigne’s analysis to this song the day he uploaded it. It was kind of cute actually, I think Ken misunderstood the question, lol. He answered the question of what it was called while still phrasing the question. He said that “Pam wanted to know what this ‘glissando’ was”. He answered that it was a high D5, among other things, when glissando was the answer we were looking for. I still call it the most amazing kick ass, ascending slide scream. Lol🤷♀️ I could listen to it over & over. I really appreciate you bringing up Ken’s analysis because I went back to rewatch it and noticed that he edited & cleaned up the audio that was accidentally dubbed in the original upload. It was great to rewatch his video since he’s fixed it, because I was really disappointed in original over-dubbing.
One of my favorites!!! And your reaction is great!!!❤❤❤
Thanks for another analysis of the incomparable Dan! I enjoy your appreciation and critiques. I assume you've gathered by now that he's doing all this by himself - no arranger, no video director, no lighting guy, no audio engineer. All the background vocals are him, and he either plays, programs, or hires collaborators for the background instrumentals. (If nobody else is specifically credited, it's all down to him him). For years he also did all the mixing and mastering himself; it's just recently that he's been able to afford to send some of that out to professionals. I hope you will do Angels We have Heard on High next, or the remaining Witcher song, The Song of the White Wolf (another of Dan's many voices in this one). 🎶
Oh yes, the last goodbye is awsome. Please react to thet one.
All instruments and arrangements are by Dan Vasc. He's a great artist and his voice is phenomenal when he started 'you flee' and took it all the way-up high in one breath, and that amazing scream that kept going up to the sky . Unbelievable power and passion from Dan ! Thank you for great your
reaction ! 😊
Does Gio not do the drums? It sounds so like him!
I love Dan’s presence and energy. He is so alive when he sings.
Thank you for yet another WONDERFUL reaction and, analysis.
I KNEW you would love this one.
Dan does an accoustic version of this song. Just him and the lute if you'd like to review and compare them
Dan Vasc is a fabulous singer/performer. One of his covers you need to react to is Poker Face. Then you need to follow that with Angels We Have Heard on High. Rock to opera is not a problem for him. He is fantastic in whatever he sings.
Hi Daniel. I really appreciate Dan's characteristic of being faithful to the original, but adding his interpretation through his beautiful voice and powerful vocal range. He also always chooses the best songs and bands to sing and the best musicians 🎸🎹🥁 to collaborate with. That's why versions are equal to or better than the originals, it's never inferior to the original. I appreciate and thank you for your reactions and analyses, they are a “show in itself”. Thanks for doing this and see you next time from Dan ;)
Listen to Dan’s cover in the traditional style as well.
I always look forward to your excellent reaction to Dan and this was was no exception. I have shared your videos to a FB page I belong to and many of them are excited to see your reaction videos also. Thanks for your analysis and support for Dan's musical skills. I do second the motion in requesting that you react to his cover of Fairy Tale.
That's very kind of you to do! Thank you so much! I'll be sure to add it to the list =)
You definitely need to do "Bring Me To Life"!!!!! I swear he does his whole range of voice, growls, & screams in this one song!!! Also, please, please, PLEASE check out Steelheart!! The band is great & the lead singer is AMAZING!!!! Do "I'll Never Let You Go" the official video & the live version. Then check out the acoustic version of "She's Gone" then the video for "Can't Stop Me Loving You". I would LOOOOOVE to see what you have to say about them!!!!! LOVE your reactions & analysis!!!!!
Thanks for the reaction. Dan Vasc did another cover of this song. It's more true to the original, just lute and his glorious voice.
That long glissando before the metal instrumentation gave me goosebumps!
For one of the true acoustic songs by Dan, try his version of Blind Guardian's Lord of the Rings.
But for some really over the top instrumentation, Dawn of Victory with his band Fearless and the original singer of Rhappsody of Fire and one of his main influences, Fabio Lione.
Thanks for your reaction and comments to one more Dan’s great performance.Appreciate your detailed analysis of the song’s performance.😊
Always enjoy your reactions to Dan and the knowledge shared. I fear you have fallen HARD into the Dan Vasc rabbit hole!❤ Welcome and keep them coming!! 🎶💕
There are surprising twists in the song "FairyTale" You should definitely react to it. Thank you and kind regards from Germany

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Loved this version.
i have been told its in the video game
Ill admit im a novice when it comes to any real knowledge about singing. IMO theres a lot of times dan does intentionally force vibrato, for effect. It seems to me dan trys to chase perfection with his songs (how HE defined perfect), and often times that may mean not producing the sound in the technically correct way, but rather the way he wants it to sound. To me the way he says caress allows the sound to be more intimate (which fits given the word being sang) versus with a more rounded O it would sound more "performative" and not as passionate. Ill give another suggestion for "fairy tale", may not be worth a reaction (view wise) but listen to his original cover of it b4 the new.
You may want to read what band you wrote down. However I would love to see Dan Vasc and Voice play collaborate on a song
Wheres the sound?
