SSI and Disability are two different funds Disability you paid int Social Securit and is insured. SSI you are not insured fir Disability because you either dud not pay into Social Security or you are not insured so therefore if you became disabled you would be entitled to one based on Social Security Laws
If he is getting ssi the child wouldn't get a check because he didn't work enough to get disability. I think she might be able to get some type of government assistance
It’s not expected for her to stay. She is young and not the wife. It’s hard for people to stay in this situation and your the spouse. We must educate our children. You have no right as the girlfriend. The family will rule and in some situations make it very hard for the girlfriend or boyfriend. This is very sad.

SSI is what I think the child should be eligible for. Back in the day when the parent received SSI the child is eligible too.
