Maybe they were thinking it would be easy enough to throw in another 8gb chip. Overall I enjoyed the video very much. Your presentation style balances well between delivering the technical facts in an interesting way and delivering some witty humor here and there.
I find it interesting how the 9100 is bottlenecking than the 1650. I would've guessed the opposite. I wonder if adding another 8GB stick would affect that.
i would definitely buy this for a present to a family member for either there birthday or Christmas as a starter rig and if they like it in a couple years or so i would introduce them into the pc building side
I think that USB 3 cable came loose in shipping, and not by falling down on the table. Vertical force issues aside, those cables are normally pretty wel ankered in their slots, so they mostly only come out due to long term vibration (like conveyer belts).
as someone who used to build all my computers I ended up ordering the $1000 prebuild from NZXT about a year ago due to the fact that i simply don't have the time anymore to spend part shopping and comparing or putting it all together. I have been very happy with the system i got and it has lots of room to upgrade in the future. If I had been doing a incremental upgrade to my old PC i probably wouldn't have but as my old system was originally built back in 2010 and needed to be fully rebuilt this was all around just easier and I have been recommending them to friends and family in a similar situation.
CAT! You were on a roll, Dawid. This was a hilarious video. Also honestly that PC, I'd recommend that to anyone looking at something in this price range. It's a very solidly designed system.

Thanks for this video I got a gaming laptop and sold it so I could get a nice pc and I’m definitly going to get this after seeing it in action thanks for the reveiew
I just got the streaming pc from nzxt and they gave me an aio instead of air cooler so I'd say its sometimes worth it. but if my dad didn't want the warranty, I definitely would've wanted to build it myself since I couldve gotten a better motherboard and 2080 super instead. there is something nice to the price advantage and knowing what is going into your system of building it yourself.
@Thomas Borisov Im just saying they upgraded the part no extra cost and I got better cooling potential and a quieter computer. But I do agree building it is a nicer option
I like that because they used high quality base components (motherboard, PSU, cooler, ssd), this system is very upgradeable. You could save up over time for another 8gb stick of ram, a CPU or a gpu. I think this way of thinking should be more common in pre-built systems. Sacrifice a bit of performance at the start, but have that and more available later with one or two simple upgrades.

For $700, this is about the setup I might expect, it seems very well rounded as you explained. the i3 is kinda eh, but I can't expect too much when there's a graphics card that takes up almost a fifth of the computer budget. A 1650, even as one of the lowest end, somewhat current gen graphics cards, still performs decently well to an extent I think.
I think the reason why they went with 1 8gb stick was for upgradability, and the fact that it doesn't matter as much on an intel-system. I'd rather just buy another 8gb stick instead of a whole 16gb set.
I got a HP Omen with Core i5 and i love it. I built my last desktop, it died sadly a few months back. I also like Omen because it has a good PSU that can accommodate a bigger card in 2-3 years and the whole PC can be upgraded.
@@raven4k998 Using single-channel RAM (or slower RAM) can reduce CPU performance. You are getting slower speeds between the RAM and the CPU. This isn’t a huge problem with Intel CPU’s, but AMD CPU’s would be pretty severely affected by this RAM config. You’re basically losing a bit of “free” performance.
@@raven4k998 Lmao what is that response? I’m just objectively answering your question. If you really want to lose performance by using single channel then that’s your loss.

I got an NZXT computer using their BLD system back in August and honestly, it's the best PC I've ever owned (and I've owned many). Out of all companies that offer pre-builts and customizable options, to me they are the best and most honest about pricing and what you get. They don't just throw in shady, cheap components like so many others. All their options are pretty reasonable with clear information about what you are getting.
Ok it's a 4 slot board, so the upgrade to 32GB would be cheaper :) idk... 4GB modules just don't need to exist anymore imo. I'd definitely rather this 1x8GB than 2x4GB
Honestly the single stick is just fine. Knowing the price point, it's likely that people who buy it are the budget gamers looking for an upgrade (an extra 8 gig stick), or someone's present for Christmas which likely indicates they don't care about the hardware but the looks.
i rememember using windows 98, been gaming for a looong time and only last autum i upgraded my ram to 2 dual channel. cant say anything changed at all, mabye 1-3fps more in games, meh. SSD is the best upgrade for any pc,new 256gb is like 30 wooden sticks
That's a great looking build. If it's $700 then that converts to £525 in the UK, which makes it great value too. NZXT are offering a great service for people who don't want to build their own PC.
I think this is a fantastic entry-level system. It checks every box for me. SSD, Proper Mother Board, Proper PSU, Dedicated Graphics, Great Case, It has everything it needs for someone starting off. The other great thing about this is that it has fantastic paths for upgrading it in the future. I actually kind of understand why they choose a single 8Gb stick because it definitely offers you a cheaper upgrade path by being able to buy a single additional 8gb stick and have a very nice memory setup and even further past that you can go to 32gb if you need and not have to throw away or waste anything.
I’ve heard so much good stuff about nzxt so I ordered myself the starter pro. I was super excited to open it and when I did there were so many problems. First of all the system had no protective foam inside the case protecting the parts. I also got no accessories(power cord, WiFi, etc.) then I realized because there was no foam, my gpu was falling apart and the heatsink was bent. On top of it being broken, it was a 1660 it instead of a 2060. It’s been a nightmare trying to work with customer service but I just sent the system back out for repair. I’ll keep everyone updated
My recent upgrade came just shy of $900 (~878), however, I already had a case, power supply, and windows installed on an old SSD (cloned to new M.2 drive). The case is a Rosewill Thor V2 case (103.99 in 2014, 129.99 now), the power supply is a Corsair HX850 (159.99 in 2013), and Windows is $99 at least. This means to build my computer from the ground up at minimum would have cost around $1242 +/- shipping. However, that price is still "wrong" because it excludes the old SSD and 3 Hard drives (2-2TB and 1-1TB) of which we're probably talking about ~$300 USD for them at the time they were purchased between 7 and 12 years ago. Of course, if I bought that storage now, it's WAY cheaper as I could get 2 4TB HDDs for $180 and a 256 m.2 for like $50 when my SSD was like $70 plus and not even a great brand! So to get my current PC from scratch we're talking about $1500 USD! Basically, I'm thankful I've had years to spread out the costs of the upgrades and sold off old cases or power supplies as I upgraded to keep going to the next level. Yeah, the case is a bit "dated" from current designs with better airflow and RGB options, but I'd rather spend that money on better components now and then in a few years make the switch to a different case again. All I'm saying that this NZXT prebuilt actually seems to be decent in terms of pricing that can get you Windows and a decent case that has a lot of space and longevity for future upgrades so that saving up $400 can get a new MOBO and CPU and then a bit later buying a modern graphics card all without breaking the bank at any single point in the process.
I recently built a PC with comparable parts and cost me about 520 dollars. Guess saved some money by DIY building. So far, it is doing pretty much everything.
I use the X20 PC from Build Pro PC. Its only about $750 after shipping and it's got a Ryzen 5 and a GTX 1650. For under $800 it is amazing. Runs games at high settings 1080p with over 140 FPS in games like Valorant. Worth taking a look at.
I totally agree with the 8 GB of single channel RAM issue, but with a caveat; if I was buying a PC with only 8GB of RAM, I'd only choose to have the 2x 4 GB sticks of RAM if and ONLY if the MoBo had 4 slots. If the MoBo has only 2 slots, I'd much rather they give me only 1 stick of RAM. My argument comes from an assumption that I'd only be buying a PC with 8GB of RAM and not 16GB if it was literally the most I could afford. I believe that for modern games and uses, 16 GB is the right amount, and even if I couldn't afford the 16GB of RAM right away, I'm guessing that most people that can buy a decent gaming PC like this one could IN THEORY save for 2-6 months or so, and buy a second stick of 8GB RAM. Otherwise, if you had a MoBo with only 2 slots for RAM, and they gave you a 2x4GB set of sticks, you'd have to go out and buys a 2x8GB set of sticks. Just my thoughts, though.
i am currently typing this on a custom built system with a i3-9100f and a gtx 1650, with a freshly installed 500gb nvme stick. this is actually the first video i'm watching after switching to the ssd. so apart from being creeped the heck out, i can confirm as someone with an almost identical system that this runs just fine for most games and is overall a good experience.

You should build a pc, with the sole intent to make it perform the worst as possible
Hahaha!! I like that idea a lot. 😂
I think that USB 3 cable came loose in shipping, and not by falling down on the table.
Vertical force issues aside, those cables are normally pretty wel ankered in their slots, so they mostly only come out due to long term vibration (like conveyer belts).
those 2 black pieces of foam could be used as sound dampening pads lmao
Haha!! That's what I was thinking. 😁
as someone who used to build all my computers I ended up ordering the $1000 prebuild from NZXT about a year ago due to the fact that i simply don't have the time anymore to spend part shopping and comparing or putting it all together. I have been very happy with the system i got and it has lots of room to upgrade in the future. If I had been doing a incremental upgrade to my old PC i probably wouldn't have but as my old system was originally built back in 2010 and needed to be fully rebuilt this was all around just easier and I have been recommending them to friends and family in a similar situation.
i would buy if the cat is included😁
Yes

You were on a roll, Dawid. This was a hilarious video. Also honestly that PC, I'd recommend that to anyone looking at something in this price range. It's a very solidly designed system.
Lol 700 bucks for a single stick of ram and an i3.... Cringe bruuuuh
And a 1650. This is the cheapest rig they do as well.

Added to the list of the things I'll never be able to unbox
It's a nice prebuilt, just at this point I can never go back to "buying" a PC, I need to build them.
@Thomas Borisov I'm pretty sure they also added it because it took 2 weeks for them to build despite me living in the same state as their hq 😂
Dawid: I looked at the spec sheet and I was concerned that this PC would be weak -- but look! It turns out to be pretty good!

Because shortages and it’s going out of stock because everyone wants one it’s just simple supply and demand
@@itzamobster1138 it never was that. If that was the case, then this would of been going on since graphics cards were even a thing. It definitely isn’t supply and demand

If your only spending 700 on your pc with gpu included. Chances are your running 1080p 60 or 144. Or heaven forbid a 4k tv at 60hz.
I recently purchased the NZXT 510 case - it's real good.
I am looking for a new prebuilt and I found a Aw dit it is in my budget (499) and has 1650 super and i3 9100f 16gb ram
Should I get it?
But tell me about the PSU, ram speeds, case, storage and cooler as those tend to be terrible in prebuilts.

I think the reason why they went with 1 8gb stick was for upgradability, and the fact that it doesn't matter as much on an intel-system. I'd rather just buy another 8gb stick instead of a whole 16gb set.
Dawid getting dem sponsors. Gfy
I got a HP Omen with Core i5 and i love it. I built my last desktop, it died sadly a few months back. I also like Omen because it has a good PSU that can accommodate a bigger card in 2-3 years and the whole PC can be upgraded.
what's he performance with 16 gigs of ram, I wanted to see that.
why does dual channel matter when it's got dedicated graphics?
@@raven4k998 Using single-channel RAM (or slower RAM) can reduce CPU performance. You are getting slower speeds between the RAM and the CPU.
This isn’t a huge problem with Intel CPU’s, but AMD CPU’s would be pretty severely affected by this RAM config. You’re basically losing a bit of “free” performance.

Build your own pc lads its a money saver!
"why not use 2x 4GB" -- because with 1x 8GB the upgrade to 16GB later is cheaper?

NZXT are offering a great service for people who don't want to build their own PC.
that little drop, if it broke anything, send it back,
I think this is a fantastic entry-level system.
I’ll keep everyone updated
where the update at
We on the interwebs were worried you lacked adequate supervision, but you have cat.
Worth taking a look at.
your vids are amazing dude, keep up the hard work!
