ill like and comment because i mostly agree with your list but i think you should strongly reconsider eclipse it is a pretty good time considering you dont hate TI4 and enjoy some player interaction heavy games towards the top of the list its a vibe.

respect your criteria....strongly disagree in mostly every thing you have said..... have the feeling that you are too much into medium games and bias to punish the heavy ones

@@sensational304 I am biased towards medium indeed. Heavy games can be fun once in a while but not room in my collection (with few exceptions) I believe bgg is also biased towards heavy games in general

I love heavy games, but I sl simply table medium games far more often.

@@RockCh4lk a heavy game needs to bring an experience for me like TI4 in order to enjoy it. A big game has the challenge of learning it and then understanding it and finally mastering it. That costs so much time that I prefer spent it in smaller and quicker games and have the experience and fun I am happy with

@@slothgamerefresher5496 non the less, you enjoy Root, asymmetrical mid-heavy game, which is difficult to teach and learn, requires players who have several games under their belt. How so? I see you are avoiding not rules heavy, but complex games (that have many interconnected mechanics, maybe fiddling, as well as Arcs). Does it mean you don't want to invest your time to learn complex games or play long games? Because from what you said you enjoyed Oath, which is quite complex and long game. I love it too, but it's pain to teach. Would you consider learning a game what would give you a similar experience as Oath?
Imho, Scythe is overrated and mislead players as it looks like a wargame, but it's just a point salad euro.
My wife and me are experienced Ark Nova players, so 2p game with expansion usually takes us 2-2.5h but it could be stretched out depending on how players pursue their goals. Is it fun? Hell yeah. Definitely better that Terraforming Mars.
I saw your choice to pick Eclipse 1 over 2 was based on the play time. But you missed the point that E2 is the improved version of the same game, so would get better experience with it overall.
Also, I'd say that The Castles of Burgundy has more strategy depth than Ark Nova. It was a blast to me.

What is the point of doing a tier list, if you havent played not even 40% of all the games? Of course, everyone can do whatever they like to do.
