Wow! Thank you fellas so much for ranking our game Chemical Overload so high on the list, #2 and #1. I am genuinely shocked, but in a great way. Thank you so much. I don't know who this Mike guy in your video is, but I like him already :) I sincerely thank you for adding Chemical Overload to this list. What a great New Year's surprise. I'd like to address some things you guy said. Insert- Sad to hear you don't like the insert. But let me explain. We spent a lot of time on this insert. Initially we also wanted individual slots for each and every potion, but it just wasn't realistic. If we had individual slots for all the potions, flasks, chemicals and other cards, it would be around 60 slots, which wouldn't be possible without making the box much larger than it already is. And we wanted to keep the standard 12x12x4ish size box that most games are now-a-days. Dominion can get away with it because they have a little less market cards and overall types of cards than we do. Sleeved Cards - This also ties into another point you made. We did design the insert with enough room to fit the entire game unsleeved OR sleeved. So we sleeved our whole game and it fits back into the box very nice and snug. I've hear people tell us then they use thick Dragon Shield or some other sleeves, and while it does still all fit, its a little tight. But yes, the insert was designed with that in mind :) Action Tokens - You guys had mentioned that sometimes you forget how many actions you've taken. Well when playtesting the game, it didn't really seem like a problem. But we have gotten numerous people with the same "problem" of how many actions they've used. This becomes an issue mainly late in the game when all the potions are free to play and you have a ton of cool combos going. So, we decided to address this and are happy to say that we will be adding action tokens in the first expansion Chemical Overload: Entropy. So we listened, and we fixed it. Randomizers - We had originally had these in the game, but the size, weight, and cost of the game was getting to high. We needed to slim it down somehow. So we removed a few potions, and some card quantities and unfortunately the randomizer cards. We wanted to keep the consumer price as low and possible for the amount of value you're getting with this game. Over 550 cards in this, plus the boards and gems and metal coins. We feel we delivered the best value we could without making the game super expensive/ heavy. BUT with that said, we are releasing an expansion soon and another one planned at a later time, so maybe once all the games are out, we will release some kind of randomizer deck that spans across all the games. Expansions - Speaking of expansions. My new friend Mike mentioned that this game would be great for expansions. We couldn't agree more! :) In addition to the current game, we already have 2 mini expansions. One was when we Kickstarted it, not on our website though. The other is the Adventurer's Promo Pack which is available on our website. We also have promo cards we give out for free at conventions we attend. In additional to that, we are gearing up for a (Hopefully) 2025 release of our first full expansion called Chemical Overload: Entropy. Which you can follow on Kickstarter now, we hope to launch this year or at the latest Q1 2026. There is also one more expansion planned that I have not announced or mentioned anywhere yet, but here. So I highly doubt you read all that, but thank you again so much for not only reviewing our game in your previous video, but then having it on a top 10 list for 2024. It means a lot to us. We are glad that you really understand the game and get the thematics of it and the mechanics and strategy. It feels good seeing someone who really gets a game you made and plays it well and enjoys it. Also you were mentioning a little at the end, Yes this is our first game., We designed and published it ourselves. It IS in a few stores local to us in the PA area. Hoping to branch out to other stores also. But it will always be available on our website and well ship them out. I don't want to say the website here cause it might delete this comment which I just spent 30 minutes writing. Just search our company name, Rebirth Games or Chemical Overload :) Thanks Eric (and MIke)
@@RebirthGamesInc Thank you for the quick comment! Lol I suspect it took you longer than 30 minutes to write! Looking forward to the expansions! *off to buy sleeves*
Wow thanks for including three of our titles in the lineup (well 2.5 with one being an honorable mention). You were right on both, Dracula vs Van Helsing did come out in late 2023 overseas, but not until 2024 in English here in the US.
You guys are like the Breaking Bad of board game content and it’s not in the way that Breaking Bad was an Emmy winning series, but in the way that your guys chemistry feels like it would move a lot of product… if you know what I mean. Liked and Subscribed.

There are going to be a lot of crossovers on your lists that will be on my wife and my lists in a few weeks on our channel. Especially with some that I feel are a bit more under the radar (Donut Shop, MLEM, Stonespine Architects, Cities). I don't think they get the coverage of a lot of other games and definitely haven't seen them on many end of year lists.
