- The Camaro is soon to be out of production but Chevrolet still has plenty of power to still offer. Under the hood is a 6.2L V8 churning out 455HP & mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. On the outside you will discover 20in wheels, hood heat extractor, and active exhaust. On the inside you will be greeted by leather seating and an 8in infotainment screen. Is the 2023 Chevrolet Camaro SS a BETTER convertible Muscle Car than a Mustang GT?

Sadly Camaro was always considered a Corvette competitor internally at GM. I wish they just keep going with it, give it a new interior, refresh outside and the engine.

So lucky i got my 2023 rapid blue 2SS shock and Steel edition. Especially for MSRP in NJ for $51k with sunroof and dual mode exhaust. Unfortunately it’s a 10 speed but those those insanely fast European super car shifts and pops in between are absolutely intoxicating to hear on a NA V8. 🤤

As someone who’s ONLY owned Camaro’s my entire adult life, it’s a sad situation to see it go, but to think the Camaro could FINALLY be designed as a true/legitimate sports car is wonderful!

Next, I’ve driven several super cars and exotics, and this platform with SS1LE track pack w/6-speed manual is amazingly competitive and shocking for the price!

Just made me regret even more for selling my 2017 2ss Camaro convertible with the tremec manual and only 29k miles and I took an 8k loss selling it just because I didn't drive it enough. Now I need to get another one to park next to my new Silverado and my wife Chevy. I guess I might as well upgrade to the ZL1. I had full carbon fiber all inside my 2ss too

There's currently $5000.00 "market adjustment" pricing on each of the two SS Camaros at my local Chevrolet dealer.
I went 5 hours out of state to get mine at MSRP. It was “In-Transit” when I put a deposit on it. Worth looking into
Just bought me a '23 2SS Red Line convertible. I absolutely love this car. I had a Silverado Trail Boss in Satin steel color and this Camaro is about the same color. Gorgeous. I still catch myself giggling like a girl.

I ordered a '23 LT1 convert. Rapid Blue, 6M, Bose, NPP, Recaros, carbon front splitter. Added some ZL1-sized HRE wheels and tires and spent about $50k for everything. I have a modified 911 Turbo, but I really enjoy driving this car especially with the top down. The 6-speed convertible is something that needs to be experienced.

Watching the smooth operation of that drop top WITH that cool tonneau cover just beats the Mustang GT convertible all to heck and back. And, I do like the Mustang GT, too. I still can't believe that Chevy is putting this to rest after the 2024 model year. smh...

I have a 2002 Camaro, my first car. I’m really hoping the prices of the 6th gens don’t go up too much once they discontinue as I love my Camaro to death and want another newer one eventually probably once I finish up college.

Man I wish the 4th gen wasn’t so ugly doesn’t even look nothing like a sports car just looks like they made a catfish into a car wish they’d look better I would have one but gen 3s that are reliable and good to drive for a good price are hard to find and gen 5s and yo are to expensive for me wish I could own one tho

I have the all black SS with aluminum wheels. Dead stop acceleration feels like the front end leaves the ground. The only negative is EVERYBODY wants to get in their feelings and race you.😂. Well until they hear thise 455 horses start popping.
Yes it is. It has a better chassis architecture than the mustang and its lighter. The visibility problem is gone. And its also cheaper than putting the LS motor in an MX-5.

It is, I own one! It's a great performance car, comfortable, cheap to run and it holds plenty of cargo. I sprang for the Wild Cherry Tintcoat paint and get compliments all the time from people who drive much more expensive cars. The only downside of the 4 cylinder is that it's rough right off the line, but once you're rolling the engine is smooth and fast with a subtle growl. And the 4 cylinder saves weight, which helps with handling and braking. I'm getting about 530 miles of range on highway trips.

@@NinoagoFan88 In mixed driving about 27.5 mpg. On the highway I can get 28.5 with cruise control on a flat road @ 75 mph. I don't do a lot of local, around town driving because that job goes to my Jeep Wrangler. It would depend on how hard you drive it, but I may be getting 23 mpg around town. You need to run premium fuel. My favorite thing about the fuel economy is the range. After driving from eastern Pennsylvania to Killington, Vermont, and then the next morning to the border of New Hampshire, I still had 1/4 tank. It's the best road trip car I've ever owned.
Chevy couldn't even show all the new colors/special editions at this years Camaro Fest like Mustang did for the 2024 Mustang Media day for you guys. Way to go out with a Zonk and Thud.

It painfully hurts me to say this but Ford made a good decision keeping the Mustang around with the good old-fashioned V8 because their thinking the same thing I am you just want to put gas in your car and drive it not stopping charge it every 200 miles

These convertibles need windscreens. They work great at speed. I used to be able to wear a cap with top down and windscreen and no problem at 75mph+.
Chevy does offer a windscreen option.
with mustang 24 here, Camaro sales will be down. everyone wants what's new, not same look.
im not a ford fan but i be willing to buy the all new Mustang .
camaro is still a sharp looking car but quality has dropped, maybe they did that to pay its workers over $40 an hr and up

Very small amount but u can fit a ton of groceries still. I got plenty pictures of my convertible trunk with top down and was able to still fit a 10 inch subwoofer with a huge ported box inside

Video does not capture the crackles and pops that the exhaust delivers . I have had a red eye wide body, and now have a 2ss convertible. The Camaro convertible is a lot more fun and enjoyable than the red eye.
