The disappearing is due to land being below -10 metres. Legacy deletes stuff below that height and Retold preserved this. Do a global elevation rise to fix (There is a tool to do this). I am hoping that moves everything including water up for you. Use the cliff tool to see current heights of your map by right clicking areas to sample and see height.
absolutely agree. The new editor enables you too make some beautiful scenery and eyecandy but it has many flaws, the texture limit being one of many. I´m also guilty of making rpg maps and not releasing them mostly because I never finish them because they take a lot of time to finish. There is a aom retold game jam in a few days so maybe co creating a map might be more beneficial to actually release maps. Your map looks good tho!!
Looks like some really nice map design in here. Indeed huge shame about these bugs that you only really find out about when you are a significant way through making your map. Hope some sort of RPG does get released. I have also been trying to raise terrain texture limit problems with the devs.
Can you do heroes with Temple option? So when you pick up relick, relick will go right in the hero, like in Temple, to boost his stats. Basically warcraft 3 mechanic. Add hero skills. And god powers can be like abilities too, with low damage and favor will regen like a mana.
I'm amateur game dev and try to write some feedback, because I like what you doing :) first thing that you might think through is the backtracking once you collected wood. It would work if heroes would level up enough so they can defeat monster on waterfalls so there is something new on way back, or on alternative path spawn some enemies, so it is more intresting to track backwards. Also with wood packs I would switch it out? So when you design tutorials, it is very powerfull to show people how to play game. So to have filled one pile on begining would make more sence to show what to do than later, where you need find 2 piles and it is more challanging to find extra because you alread know what you do and you show player that pile should go on platform. Also acording to this you want to make important things to stand out (if there is not like quest do this) so mark wood or platform with something like flag, or as you show things to stand out a bit like snowman or old tree. Hmmm also interesting problem, may by optimalization limit, but if it is 64 might be just some 2 on 8 thing where they place some limit, but good luck with it. You may work around it and create other map, if you transit your RPG data (which is something that may not be imposible and that is why you making one big map), but good luck on bringing attention to limit. I'm glad they did map editor, so many old games have this stuff, like warcraft 3, age of empires, old far cry, awesome to see this tools bring back to moders. I always saying I should try to do something in Redkit, or mods to boost my portfolio and get higher chance to get hired in industry, because it is super hard RN to get into it as beginer, so I balancing if I should start with something simple as mod or continue what I'm doing and it is learning Unreal Engine and do some prototypes. So good luck on your jorney. Cool video and map :)

I have done what I can to try and give devs visibility of this.
Really great looking!
Powerful powerful stuff!

Looks rly nice! I hope they can fix these issues.
can't wait to play something like this - almost dont want the story told till I find out

I remember creating such a cool mythodea scenario but never played it
