I noted 6 different gathering rates just for the base villagers in one screen and then had to move on to keep pace =). Now think about all the minor gods... Raiding Cavalry vs Hippeus factors... etc. AoM is an asymmetric game compared to AoE2's symmetric approach, which makes it more interesting in many ways, but also harder to do analysis like this =) That being said, if you have any example in particular of where I could improve, I would be very appreciative if you could let me know. Bennoloth, I have a few tips for you to be more clear in presenting information. I was a homeschool teacher for 5 years and had two businesses with personalized courses (I had to do everything from scratch), so I learned a few things here and there. These are all tips for the video format. Only the text format and the slideshow format have some peculiarities. I will give you 5 points. 1st: Never show more than 1 piece of information at a time, prioritize showing the piece of information you are talking about first and then show the second piece. Show one, then the other at the same time if you are comparing things, or one piece of information, then clear the screen, and then show the second information if the comparison is not direct or the information can be understood as independent (like two self-contained boxes). Too much information at once is overwhelming for students and is counterproductive. So never show more than 1 piece of information at a time unless necessary. 2nd: Format is key. The way you choose font size, table organization, colors and contrast, highlighting, etc., is not only important, but central to text or visual presentations. You should have contrast in tables (2 lines 1 color or 3 lines 1 color; just for readability), you should have tags in front of list items (like 1...; 2...; 3... or A...; B...; C...), highlights should be few and the main text should have as few words and numbers as possible. The right balance between different colors or no colors, many item tags (1,2,3; A,B,C; I,II,III; etc.) or just bullets, etc. is something that only you can experiment with and learn by trial and error. 3rd: If you are showing a comparison of numbers, you prioritize the visual representation of the values and not just the number. I always use graphs (line, column, circle, radar, etc.). For example: if you are showing numbers of dwarfs and gatherers side by side, show one, talk about it, then show the second, talk about it, then clean the screen and show a formula ploted in XY axis or column comparison with the difference number in % and the flat number also side by side. Numbers are better understood if you explain the point of comparison you want to make and then provide a visual analogy (like a graph) that visually demonstrates what you just said. Then follow up with a practical example. Remember that your audience is not mathematicians, but they are not idiots either. Find a balance in the complexity of the graphs. 4th: The best way to teach is with the three punch technique. You want to demonstrate your information in three ways every time (exception: something very easy for your audience should be simple and quick, never talk too much about obvious information, you lose focus). For example: name the comparison and show flat numbers like dwarf vs gatherer collection rate; then show how much this represents, like X dwarfs collect A while X gatherers collect B; then show in a real paused game (a replay) how many dwarves and gatherers both players have (Norse vs. Norse example here) and what that represents in % increase in harvest of one player vs. the other and then if they changed their worker composition in that Classical Era situation. 5th and last: always summarize the information at the beginning and at the end. Before Retold, transform workers into "Ulfsarks" cost 50 food/20 gold. After Retold, its cost is different: In actual version (i.e. with update 17.43876) transform workers into "berserks" cost 30 food/20 gold for Gatherers (15 food/10 gold for Loki's Gatherers) and 10 food/30 gold for Dwarves (5 food/15 gold for Loki's Dwarves). P.S.: Yes, Freyr's cost reduction for transforming workers into "Berserks" is a bug.

I think it was a joke, but since it's not explained in the video and just in case: Eitri sin't an AoM reference, it's the name of a Dwarf in the real Norse mythology who, with his brother Brokk, and like in AoM, forged Frey's boar Gullinbursti. They also made numerous other treasures for the gods: Gungnir, Mjöllnir, Skidbladnir, Draupnir and Sif's golden hair!
Yes, you can go over pop cap with this trick, and even over the Villager maximum, getting 115 total villagers. However it's at stage of the game where you're more likely to be deleting villagers than wanting more, and if you saved it up, it would prevent you from getting an early eco advantage. If you want a few Berserks over pop cap and convert them I could see it helping a tiny bit in a Mythic Age battle.
On a side note what's the upside to Egyptians that make up for their differences? Your laborers produce less on average than villagers even with good pharaoh micro. You deplete on gold faster as well. I hear people say that mighdol units are the good thing about Egypt except they all count as cavalry so prodromos counters them.
If i had to guess... Maybe something to do with the ballista guy in the back? Iirc that's the atlantean one and i remember them being monsters at myth killing. And they are shooting a mythical unit.

Yes it does! I advanced through Forseti + Bragi + Tyr and then Freyr + Skadi + Baldr, and Dwarven Breastplate was the only tech that appeared in the Armory, and it did grant a Dwarf. Nice catch! Thor players have an extra reason to go Forseti.

Do you still get extra dwarves as Thor if you are maxed on dwarves?
