Tip for everyone: you can animation cancel the big slam at the end of nodachi combo with building karakuri, preferably the torch to keep up attacks or spring to dodge after the slam
Thank you so much for this, I didn't know that attacking while charging would fill the gauge faster, I might have to put the staff down to play Nodachi again.
It charges the same amount of time as standing still, difference is you get damage while charging, and although your end goal is a full bisection slash, a lvl 1 charge here and there is better than a bisection slash every 20 seconds, while waiting for openings.

The Nodachi is such a underrated weapon, also you did get hit a lot so vengeance wouldn't be so bad. I prefer having vengeance just incase I do get hit I get a dmg boost
RageGamingVideo measured the charge time of the weapon and from what it looks like, attacking during charging doesn't change the time it takes to reach full charge. It just compensates for charging slower while attacking or moving compared to the planted charge.

Cowboy do you think you could stack the Iai perks that reduce reeling or one of them with a good amount of stand tall to boost up your poise to resist most attacks? I’m thinking since the karakuri perk that heals you on basic karakuri attacks is So good you could stack that with stagger resist and just tank your way through encounters. It would be kinda busted though so it probably doesn’t work and I don’t think the poise stacks.
Idk what it is, but the nodachi doesn't have the hit numbers like some of the top 3 weapons but damn, it's consistent and staggers monsters more than any weapon I have used. Golden tempest will be mine once I master this weapon.
nodachi is definitely my favorite weapon. the only thing I dont like about it is that if you jump on a spring right after a X or Y attack while charging you will lose your charge. I dont know why they made it like that

@@damionlerner7268 kurikuri staff, claw blades, maul for raw power. They are all good. I can't use the bladed wagasa for the life of me.

It's a awesome and fun satisfying weapon but I prefer the maul for more consistent big hits
It seems that the only thing that really changes from build to build is the pants.

There is technically, it is called steely Iai on the far right side of the tree, it is just a huge investment to get it
