Awesome vid man, thanks for the content! Two quick things - the first is you get knocked when DV wolf is enraging because icicles are falling off him and landing on the floor. The second is I'm curious whether or not you have any toxic shock / virulent blow talismans - haven't had a chance to play myself, but apparently DV crow drops them. Not only does virulent blow increase dmg further, but toxic shock would increase the duration poison lasts per application.
Aaahh okay I've literally never paid attention to the falling ice lol..as for the toxic shock I've tried using it a bit but I could never really tell how much damage it's doing. I'm hoping one day they add visible damage ticks to the poison activation.
Hey quick question watching this from the future is there a way to do it with the alpha venom nodachi I really likes how it looks and wanna build with it to do good damage aswell.
Nice build, would love to see a mid air marakumo staff gameplay, also while shutting your game down to get materials orbs back for weapon rolls works, the rolls you need are still locked behind rng and will roll potentially the same, after reset.
I just finished farming five 3% poison wielder tailsmans. Have a total of 30% poison wielder for my bow and it is actually broken 😂 Kemonos are poisoned the whole fight. And since every second a kemono is poison they lose 1 % hp, most fights are sub 1min. Im still looking for the 3% poison wielder tailsmans with 29% toxic tho. When I get 5 of those its ggs
Hey so when I do that trick or resetting the game to reroll the skills it gives me my orbs back but when I go to reroll then after turning the game back on it gives the same skills in the same orders. Am I doing something wrong or is there an extra step I missed? Edit: I'm playing on Xbox series S if that matters
No you aren't doing anything wrong I tried re-rolling some stuff today and it wasn't working, I'm guessing it's been addressed. I was trimming that part out of the video right as I saw your comment🥲
@@WhateverYouSayAlex that sucks, its not like it was game breaking or anything, literally just made the grind a bit easier I don't understand patching that out but oh well. At least I was able to get a poison wielder 5% and osf 10% with enough grinding today
Playstyle preference. Do u want more dmg or more buff timer extensions? Both are great, just gotta narrow down what YOU want to do. More burst dmg? Or slightly longer buffs?

@@Raptchur Yeah, because 800 + kills with it doesn't mean anything... And over 2,000 hrs played also doesn't... Great Maul is the hammer, and Mountain Fell blade is the skill for the Katakuri Staff that allows for Juggernaut Blade to do unparalleled damage... I'm going to assume you like to assume things online to strangers you have no idea who you're talking to. Nodachi's damage is extremely laughable being described as "One of the most powerful blows in the game"... Claw's finisher still does more damage. Sit down and shut up edge "Raptchur" weirdo.
The nodachi can kill just as fast as a Staff build. And without trap spamming. Staff is the HIGHEST burst dmg, sure. But it's by no means leaving the nodachi in the dust (not with this playstyle) And maul is just a beast of a weapon, requires good stamina control and requires u to hit the extend on time to even get full dmg. Again this is where ppl use traps and say "Maul is broken".. Anything can look broken in the right hands. Claw and umbrella players make those weapons look easy till u use them and ur like "what the hell was that guy doing? He's insane"
@@Towelie42O I'm a Monster Hunter player, I've used all of those weapons to peak. With an without traps. The Nodachi cannot compete with staff and Maul. Claw functions like insect glaive. Bladed Wagasa is also easy once you learn monster windows and time of impacts.

2k on the tail break is pretty wild! I was trying to make a poison build before i stopped playing so might have to jump back in for this...

Alex, you mentioned you went with the ice torrent version because it’s a “pummel” weapon. Does the pummel hit harder? Regards.
I chose that one only because of the armor I'm using that has pummel bolster on it. you can use any nodachi though and it should still be okay.

If I’m running Time Changer would that keep the damage boost from virulent blow longer? Since it’s supposed to keep temporary buffs active longer.
That's a good question, I assumed it wouldn't work so I never tested it but I'll check it out next time I'm on for sure.

Why did you choose pummel over slash?
I used it for this build only because the armor comes with pummel bolster.
Is this better than time changer?

Why did you use ice crystal torrent , and why not paradisal nodachi ?
From my recollection the crystal torrent was the best pummel based nodachi
I might have to reinstall wild hearts and make this build for my bow 😂
I’ll have to jump in now and see how well it works. It kinda sucks that there is no bow with pummel damage though 😩

I love mountain blade builds also but I wouldn’t call it out classed at least with my playstyle as I don’t really use chain traps.
