    A young couple called Lavi and Ollie are riding one of these round the world. I think theirs is a 2020 or 2021 model. Their channel is called Lavi and Ollie!

    I got one new 2 years ago and it’s just come out of the dealers having suffered with a charging fault that killed the battery
    The prognosis was defective indicator relay but alarmingly the main issue was a corroded wiring loom !!
    It’s garaged in dry conditions and rarely used in the rain !
    Just poor build quality unfortunately

    Got mine, monster bulletproof machine...so nimble and good on corners feels like a 650

    I put 30K miles on the 1000XT, damn fine bike. What is often missed is that the suspension is off the gsxr, which means that when setup correctly this bike handles extremely well through rough corners (go with Metzler ME1 to improve the flickability if you are a scratcher). Just change the oil regularly, spark plugs are easily good for 20K miles (they are horrible & expensive to change). FYI I moved onto the 1290SAS afterwards.

    I have one and absolutely love this machine. It just feels right and it handles exactly the way I want it to. I disagree with this reviews front brake drive comment though, it is not an out and out sports bike hence the suspension it has, the dive is minimal to a Versys or even Ducati.

    My huge complaint with my 650 wee strom was how stupid hard it was to to do basic things like spark plugs and even air cleaner maintenece! That was a deal killer for me sounds like 1050 is similar? Is it really worth having a V or L twin if it that BS to get to back cylinder? Makes older BMW boxer twins appealing for access ease
