I had an original Honda diaphragm In my 2006 crf450r for at least 10 years before needing to be replaced. FYI you can’t use carb cleaner on any rubber carb parts.
Video definitely deserved a subscription, my quad is having this problem if I don’t punch the throttle it doesn’t bog if I do it dies or if I blip it. Hopefully fixing it solves my problem. Thank you!
I appreciate it the kind words! Yeah this issue drove me to the brink of insanity. Those accelerator pump diaphragms are trash. Just replace them every 30 to 40 hours and you should be good 👍
Man this is great thank you so much I have the exact same thing after a deep cleaning of the carb, I now just need to see how to take the accelerator pump out?
Dude, thank you. I just bought an ‘08 and I think this is the problem. I talked the guy way down because of it. Bike looks brand new, not a single scratch on it, but you have to slowly feed it throttle or it just cuts out. I was so confused because it has awesome power from a lug to the rev limiter, but you have to be so gentle below 3k or 4k rpm. Is that how yours was?
Yes! The accelerator pump is only responsible for the first snap on the throttle. The carburetor fuel flow will do the rest but it needs that quick spray from the pump in order to function properly. Goodluck buddy 👍
Same issue mine had. I ended up buying a new carb however, tons of green shit from ethanol fuel sitting in it for months. Figured it would be best to start new. $310 for a new one. I hate carburetors.
I bet this guy used carb cleaner and or used compressed air to blow out while the AC pump was still in place. Honda AC pumps are way better the all the aftermarket AC pumps.

Awesome , thank you 🙏
Anytime 👍
Question, it’ll idle, but want to give it full throttle it will die did yours do that?
I’m doing this on my crf450x and the diaphram looks perfect but it’s doing the exact same thing and the pump is squirting
Did u figure it out cuz I’m in the same boat you are

What main & pilot jet are you running ?
Any recommendation LINKS on where to buy
Are you just looking for the diaphragm? Or the full rebuild kit? If you're gonna replace the diaphragm you should replace the o-rings as well.

Will this happen in high gears? The bog
The accelerator pump is only responsible for the first crack of the throttle so there's no delay.
that could be a jetting problem but not accelerator pump related.
where did you get the your parts from? can you add the link please !! have the same quad and same fuckin issue!!
I got you fam.
