Well, geez... after that previous video, I definitely need something a little more light-hearted, and I know just the game for the job.
Wii Sports Resort is the sequel/best version of the world-famous Wii Sports, the game loved/hated for putting motion controls on the map. It blows the original out of the water and first introduced players to Wuhu Island.
Today, I'm going to cover my favourite event from this classic... - เกม
Finally, I can stop thinking about dead school girls.
And we can also stop thinking about dead kind-hearted teachers too.
And about dead people who nobody else remembered they ever existed.

I spent 50% of my playtime just flying around the island. It's just so fun

This game was my childhood, it's such an underrated masterpiece, it's nice to see you made a video about this one.

Definitely, after that Nightmare Fuel game literally traumatized almost everyone, it's time to play one of my favorite games of all time

YES! Oh god, I love this game. I've spent hours trying to get every I point on the island, as well as getting all the stamps and white balloons. I love Island Flyover, I just wish we had a ground version as well, where we could just walk around and see the sights.
Wii Sports Resort: a game I now wish I had gotten way back. From what I'm seeing, all of the new modes look like so much infectious fun.
The island concept is very well done and the layout is pretty impressive, it all adds up to the player's immersion on such a little fun simple concept.
Nothing says fun like flying around popping kids' balloons and watching them jump up and down in frustration.

That pilotwings 64 scream is downright HILARIOUS

I'd say the single biggest problem with Island Flyover is... Wedge Island.
Somehow it manages to turn the joy of soaring around Wuhu Island into 3 full minutes of *tedium* flying over featureless ocean just to get there. It doesn't help that it's impossible to go from Wedge Island back to the main one cuz of the time limit.
I have so much nostalgia over Island Flyover mode... I always wanted there to be a full-on free roam mode, where you're on foot on Wuhu Island and can start playing sports by walking over to their locations. Basically, Go Vacation but on Wuhu Island and better. I still dream about that sometimes.
10/10 fangame, would play.
especially if it makes Nintendo realize that their mistake with the Wii (other than implementing motion controls into EVERYTHING) was to stop releasing games for it. why stop making games on the console that could probably prevent the company from being forced into a buyout? the wii could save Nintendo from bankruptcy, especially if they made this theoretical game into either its own game or a DLC mode for the current game.
@@kirbomatic1573 Nintendo stopped making games for the Wii due to hardware limitations. There's only so much you can do with old hardware, unfortunately. But I semi-agree with you. I do miss the Wii days a lot!
I tought that I would unlock that mode once I found all i points, instead we got the crappy shack in an empty island

Yeah, that video put horrible & disturbing images in my brain because of those gross sounds & black screen, & even the "happiest" ending was sad.
Well, that video brought back memories of that other anime game (That 9 Rooms, 9 People Nonarry Games one) where there was an ending where Junpei was killed & described his death in full detail. 🤢

I wonder if he will cover the other games, considering the second one (Virtue's Last Reward) has a ton of endings, of which some of them are pretty much "Everyone fucking dies, the End". Heck, even the true ending is dark as well.

This was such a fun and relaxing game mode, spent countless hours with it doing the dumbest things and tricks around the island. I was never able to get Balloonatic though...
Git makes his longest video ever, twice the length of a normal movie, and just 2 days later is already back with another banger. What a legend.
I loved playing Pilot wings,it was cool when you saw the mario rushmore

Just flying around for fun is great, too bad they messed it up in Pilotwings. You start with only two minutes in Free Flight Mode! *TWO MINUTES*
I think you unlock more though, and you still get to see tons of stuff throughout the missions

As someone who enjoys geography since kid, getting to know how the island and the places where you play game is very numerous, full of details and things to do was amazing. You don't get to experience this somewhere else than here and the Wii Fit footing minigame (the Smash stage falls a little too short for me) and that's super cool as well. Not much of a guy of planes myself, but all the info you get to know was a not regret. Also overall I can certify it's a great experience, and you can get used to the controls fastly even if they seem very complicated at first. to I still haven't 100% it but I hope to do so later on!
I think the best way to think of the plane timer is the plane was rented or something

I get this same feeling of relaxing when flying around random locations in World of Warcraft, I someday I might get This game, I loved the boxing and bowling games in the first one and I have always been a big nerd for golf.

I love the flyover stuff! I remember getting pilotwings on the 3ds and realizing it was basically a mini-WSR flyover and was like, "YEEEES!"
god, wii sports resort is just one of the best games that has miis in it.
While it may not be as visually impressive as newer games, Wii Sports Resort has a spot in my heart as one of the first games I owned for the Wii (Alongside Wii Sports, Mario Kart Wii, and Lego Star Wars Complete Saga).
YES! THIS IS THE BEST GAME! Also I always landed the plane before the time ran out. :)

Man, I remember flying this for hours on end as a kid, even after finding every i I could in the map... this game was truly amazing.
...I guess that's why I like Pilotwings Resort so much.

Luckily, unlike Pilotwings, no creepy bad endings/moments exist in this game (you get game over & actually die for real in Pilotwings SNES in the Helicopter levels 😱)

Sometimes you just want to relax and fly around a large and colorful map. The first time I did this was in Pilotwings 64, but I also found myself doing the equivalent of that in Spider-Man 2 a lot after having already beaten the game.Just swing all around New York City and unwind after a tough day of fighting those criminals in mech suits.
Jokes on you Lub Lub I already spoil everything myself.
If i remember correctly, getting every balloon/ i symbol makes your mii face appear on the airship instead of the Wii logo. It’s even visible in other game modes too lol

The minigames in this game that I remember playing the most as a kid was Swordplay (especially Swordplay Showdown, which is my favorite minigame in this game btw), Bowling, Skydiving, Table Tennis, Basketball, Cycling & this one too! 👋👍
I have gone through the hell that is collecting all of the Information Points of the Island Flyover mode.
Child me somehow managed to acquire _all but two of them,_ although I had to use a guide for the others, unfortunately.
I got every i sybol in this mode, and this was before i became an addicted completionist
All it needs is some Pilotwings music and we're all set.
This really looks like the next level of Birdman chill but it’s missing the best part - that Birdman music! 😭 It’s one of the most underrated Nintendo track ever! Is there music on this one too but it’s just not on here?

The Balloonatic stamp costed me years to clear, it is not easy. But I got it.
And yup, this was one of the only two minigames of Wii Sports Resort I could get every stamp, the other being Skydiving.
I got all the stamps on Swordplay Duels, the game that everyone likes for some reason.
Swordplay Showdown is also rather easy to collect all of their stamps, although doing no hit in level 20 was quite a pain in the butt (f you Misaki, Vincenzo, Kathrin, and Matt).
@@emanueltheodorus1056 you just need to block until the timer runs out, and then when the final round happens, block until they're at the edge. then, slice your sword. I personally found the one where you have to jab your wii remote forward to knock the person off to be the most challenging, because the motion controls for that specific action are terrible.
@@kirbomatic1573 Different game, bud. I'm talking about Swordplay Showdown, not Duel. The last level (Volcano Reverse) is the most challenging to get a non-hit run.

I used to fly around Wuhu Island tons when I was younger, simply enjoying the fact I could fly around the island freely. I also often did silly things, and it was a blast.
